Abstract: An adhesive tape includes a substrate [I] and an adhesive agent layer of a polyester adhesive agent provided on at least one of opposite surfaces of the substrate [I]. The substrate [I] is one selected from a polyolefin resin foam substrate, a urethane resin foam substrate, and an acrylic resin foam substrate. The polyester adhesive agent is made from a polyester adhesive agent composition [II] which contains a polyester resin (A) having a weight average molecular weight of 5,000 to 300,000, and having a structural unit derived from a polyol and a structural unit derived from a polyvalent carboxylic acid compound containing an aromatic structure-containing compound in a proportion of not greater than 80 mol %. The adhesive tape is excellent in adherence between a polyester adhesive agent layer and a polyolefin resin foam substrate, a urethane resin foam substrate, or an acrylic resin foam substrate.

Abstract: A multi-layer composition to be located onto a substrate. The composition comprises a bi-layer construction, including a first layer and a second layer, the first layer having a high elastic modulus and tensile strength in comparison to the second layer. The second layer includes a blowing agent such that, when cured, the first layer is spaced away from the substrate. The compositions of the first layer and second layer are similar, thus enabling the reconstitution of scrap into usable material for forming another multi-layer reinforcement.

Abstract: A dry shape memory adhesive material for adhering a target surface in the presence of fluid and for providing tunable mechanical contraction of an adhered surface. The dry shape memory adhesive material is pre-stretched and dried to provide an adhesive structure that implements a hydration-based shape memory mechanism to achieve both uniaxial and biaxial contractions of the adhered surface. According to preferred embodiments, the shape memory adhesive material includes a combination of one or more hydrophilic polymers or copolymers, one or more amine coupling group, and one or more cross linkers.

Abstract: The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer forming organopolysiloxane composition of this disclosure is hydrosilylation reaction curable, wherein 1 mass % or more of a resin component is (b2) an organopolysiloxane resin having a weight average molecular weight (Mw) as measured in terms of standard polystyrene by GPC using toluene that is less than 4000, and the value obtained by dividing Tg+120(° C.) of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer obtained by curing by Tg′+120(° C.) of the composition (pressure-sensitive adhesive layer), in which component (b2) is substituted by a resin with Mw 4000 or higher is less than 1.0. When used as a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer and when a specific resin component/polymer component ratio is selected to achieve a pressure-sensitive adhesive strength, the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer can be further reduced, resulting in a strong pressure-sensitive adhesive force and a low Tg at the same time.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a two-component solvent-less adhesive composition. The two-component solvent-less adhesive composition contains the reaction product of (A) an isocyanate component containing the reaction product of (i) an isocyanate monomer and (ii) a first dimer acid polyester polyol; and (B) a polyol component containing (i) a second dimer acid polyester polyol and (ii) optionally, a polyol selected from a polyether polyol, a polyester polyol, and combinations thereof. The two-component solvent-less adhesive composition contains from 15 wt % to 45 wt % units derived from dimer acid, based on the total weight of the two-component solvent-less adhesive composition.
