摘要： A fall protection apparatus includes a single longitudinally extending rigid rail onto which two laterally spaced apart moveable lanyard anchorages are mounted. The rail has a generally H-shaped cross-section with opposing vertically oriented first and second tracks laterally spaced apart by a connecting member extending between the tracks and substantially continuously along the length of the tracks The apparatus is attached to a structure by a support member, such as an overhead or lower support member, with the support member being attached to an upper or lower surface of the connecting member respectively. Each anchorage is adapted to be independently moveable along the length of one of the tracks, with the tracks being sufficiently spaced apart to permit the anchorages to freely pass by each other and the attachment point.

The plate includes first and second wings defined between the first and second edges and extending for a distance along the front surfaces of the truss members. A shackle on the security line is secured to the roof truss proximate where the roof truss is reinforced by the gusset plate. The plate secures the truss members together and can provide a strong, rigid surface for the shackle to engage thereby reducing the likelihood of damage to the truss when force is applied to the security line.

A safety cable is engaged with the eye bolt and may be fastened to a worker harness. A second pair of flat plates, also having eye bolts are fastened on either side of the hinged pair and spaced apart. A walker cable is fastened between the second pair of flat plates. The safety cable may be fastened to the walking cable instead of the worker harness, and in this case, a personnel cable may be slidingly engaged with the walking cable and to the worker harness so as to provide safety to a worker while permitting the worker to move about while working on a scaffold.
