摘要： An efficient filtration process of water from a tank is performed over a small volume of water and not on the totality of the water from the tank. The process includes emitting ultrasonic waves in the tank; and adding a flocculant agent to the water. The tank bottom is covered with a suctioning device which suctions a water flow with flocculated particles, discharging to a collecting effluent line and the effluent flow of the suctioning device is filtered from the collecting effluent line. Filtered flow is returned to the tank. A suctioning device is used in the efficient filtration process.

摘要： A hose joint for a pool cleaner or other apparatus that includes at least two swivels. The first swivel is configured to rotate about a first axis and the second swivel is configured to rotate about a second axis that is different from the first axis. In some embodiments, one of the swivels is configured to rotate approximately 360 degrees about its axis of rotation. In this way, the hose joint has at least two directions of freedom in at least two different planes that help the cleaner move independently from a hose attached to the hose joint.

摘要： An automatic vacuum-relief apparatus for liquid suction systems includes a vessel defining a chamber filled with liquid in communication with a liquid flow line, a rotary shaft extending through the chamber to support a valve device adjacent to the liquid flow line and to move the valve device to open a relief-air flow channel to relieve increased suction caused by inlet blockage, and a piston on the rotary shaft responsive to suction increases within the liquid flow line and chamber to actuate shaft rotation. The valve device, chamber and relief-air flow channel are configured and arranged to cause a spurt of liquid from the chamber into the inlet while the valve device is moving from its isolating position toward its opening position upon inlet blockage, whereby the spurt of liquid pushes the blockage away from the inlet and the relief air reduces the suction. The valve includes a liquid-flow barrier secured with respect to the liquid flow line such that the barrier is in an open position allowing flow of liquid from the inlet to the outlet during normal operation and in a closed position isolating the inlet from the outlet in response to suction increases upon inlet blockage.

摘要： A pumping system of a pool (10) pumps water through a pool cleaner (20) and hose (26) connected to a weir (18). Flow through the cleaner (20) is cyclically interrupted to repeatedly reciprocate the hose (26). A device (30) anchored to the weir (18) is coupled to the hose (26) via clip (38). The reciprocal motion of the hose (26) is transmitted to the device (30) where it is transduced to a swinging motion (42) via a lever (40) attached to the hose (26) via clip (36), whereby the hose (26) is moved cyclically in attitude and position to promote random motion of the cleaner (20) and to render the cleaner (20) less likely to get stuck.

摘要： A skimmer cover plate is disclosed for use with a pool skimmer system. The skimmer cover plate allows the pool skimmer to work alternatively with an underwater suction operated pool cleaner. The skimmer cover plate is designed to seal the upper surface of the well of a skimmer. The hose of the suction cleaner is connectable to a pipe on the cover plate. The cover plate includes an indexable valve which is movable between two positions for varying the flow of fluid and debris from the pool directly into the well and basket of the pool skimmer. When fluid flow is restricted through the valve, the suction will be diverted to power the pool cleaner. When the valve is opened, debris will pass from the surface of the skimmer through the valve and into the basket for collection. An indexable valve is provided which indexes in response to the cycling of the pump.
