The key will reduce fumbling to identify keys during late evenings and nights. Disabled people will benefit because the key will help them maneuver through things during the night quickly. Being able to quickly access a locked vehicle at night will also benefit people. Shut down or disabled machinery could potentially reduce the number of physical attacks on victims, robberies, muggings, murders and ect.

摘要： A key incorporating a miniature light source in a handle thereof, is disclosed. A key body member comprises a substantially elongated first portion and a second portion disposed in an angular relationship to the first portion. The handle of the key comprises a retainer member which incorporates a channel adapted for slidably receiving and retaining the second portion of the key body member. A locking member, comprising a part of the handle, is adapted for interfacing with the retainer member and for removable attachment thereto. A tab protruding from the locking member is disposed adjacent to an opening of the channel thereby locking the key body member into the assembled structure. A suitable cavity is provided within the handle member for operative mounting of a miniature power source, a miniature light bulb and a pressure actuated switch.

摘要： A lighting device is provided herein to provide auxiliary lighting in locating keyholes. The device mainly contains a key holding member and a casing member. The bow of a key is fixedly housed inside the key holding member with the blade of the key sticking out in the front. The key holding member in turn is housed inside the casing member, right next to a lamp element, which is connected to the negative electrode of a battery chamber housed in the back of the casing member and a metallic contact blade floating between the positive electrode of the battery chamber and a press button on the top cover of the casing member. The lamp element is turned on when the press button is held down and the contact blade touches the positive electrode.

摘要： The present invention describes a method for coupling electronically addressable and readable illumination means to one at least lock keys. Said illumination means may be used to identify key function and to select a particular key from a group of keys on a key grouping means (eg key ring). A novel key ring is described that may deliver power and electronic signals via conductor means to one at least keys. The system is controlled by a key control means that is preferably provided in a key tag format. The invention provides scope to couple other electronic devices and functions to a key ring. A method of automatically attaching/detaching keys from a key ring is also described.
