    摘要: An apparatus has a housing with a release lever and an actuation lever pivotably connected to the housing. A gear is pivotably disposed within the housing and a release rack is adapted to engage the release lever. A pivoting movement of the release lever linearly moves the release rack, which engages and rotates the gear in a first direction. An actuation rack is adapted to engage the actuation lever. A pivoting movement of the actuation lever linearly moves the actuation rack which engages and rotates the gear in a second direction.

    摘要: A rack and pinion pull-up latch comprises a housing containing a reciprocating push-button which alternates between two positions. Means are provided to secure the push-button in these two positions. Supported by the push-button is a stepped pinion which engages two stationary racks within the housing and which drives a third rack between two positions of translation. At one of these positions, the third rack is rotated so as to move an attached latching finger inwardly of the housing. At the other position, the latching finger is in latching engagement with a frame member.

In the preferred embodiment a spring is affixed to the housing for engagement with the latch when the handle and the latch are moved to the latched position thereby holding the latch in engagement with the keeper.

    摘要: An adjustable, multipivot aircraft panel latch featuring a means for adjusting the latch tension after the panel is installed without the necessity of opening the latch. This is accomplished by an adjustment screw mounted on a yoke member in operative engagement with the latch arm. By the particular arrangement of components, the latch arm may be adjusted relative to a keeper on the aircraft structure by rotating the screw with a conventional drive tool inserted through a small opening in the top of the latch housing.

    摘要: A vehicle window fabricated from extruded members in which an inner glass supporting frame structure is hingedly mounted in an outer frame structure for swinging movement, the outer frame structure having cooperative inner and outer sections secured together by concealed means in clamping engagement with the inner and outer wall surfaces surrounding a wall opening. A unique manually operable latching mechanism is provided for normally latching the inner frame structure in a closed position substantially coplanar with the outer frame structure, but which in case of an emergency may be readily manually actuated by the application of a relatively small force into a released or nonlatching position which will permit outward swinging movement of the inner frame structure into an open position so as to provide an emergency escape exit. The window and latching mechanism are further designed to withstand a relatively high impact opening force.

    摘要: A dual handled latch device or spindle-free and cylinder-free lockset is provided for opening and closing a door from either side of the door. The latch device comprises an angled lever located on each side of the door, one end of each lever acting as a manipulatable handle and the other end lying under and perpendicular to a latch arm located on the surface of one side of the door. When the handle end of either lever is pulled, the lever pivots about a fulcrum point at the lever angle, lifting and releasing the latch arm so the door can be opened. In a preferred embodiment, the latch lifting ends of the two levers are mutually opposing with one latch lifting leg end is superposed on the other. The latch arm also can be locked in its latched, closed position.
