摘要： The present invention provides a drive mechanism for a vehicle lift gate. The drive mechanism includes a housing including a first end securable to a vehicle frame and an opposite second end securable to a lift gate. The drive mechanism further includes a spring disposed for movement within the housing along the axis between the first and second ends and biasing the first end axially relative to the second end. A damper extends around the housing for absorbing energy released by rapid axial movement of the spring relative to the housing.

摘要： A sensing edge for providing a signal to a controller indicating that a forward edge of a door is obstructed during operation includes an elongated sheath and first and second end plugs. The elongated sheath is mounted to the forward door edge and has a first end, second end and first cavity connecting the ends. First and second spaced apart electrically conductive materials are disposed within the elongated sheath. The first end plug includes an inner end having first engaging structures positioned within the first cavity in an assembled configuration and an outer end having a first depression for housing an electronic component. The electronic component is electrically coupled to the electrically conductive materials. The second end plug includes an inner end having a sensing component and second engaging structures positioned within the first cavity in an assembled configuration. The sensing component is electrically coupled to the electrically conductive materials.

The vehicle also includes two cylinders for exerting a force on the tailgate with respect to the body. One of the cylinders is actuated by a drive device, and the lever arm of the cylinder actuated by the drive device with respect to the hinge is greater than the lever arm of the other cylinder with respect to the hinge in the closed position of the tailgate. The cylinder actuated by the drive device can develop a greater torque for opening the tailgate, facilitating the opening of the tailgate by a user since the cylinder actuated by the drive device allows for the movement of the tailgate.

The present invention further discloses a mechanism for automatically detecting door or window faults. The present invention can automatically detect possible faults occurring during use of the door or window, and thereby eliminate hidden risks endangering the user and other persons' personal safety, and exhibit important social significance.

The breakaway lever is selectively movable from a first position where the cam follower is engaged with a first location on the cam edge to a second position where the cam follower is engaged with a second location on the cam edge.
