    摘要: A power plant may include a power house, a tank farm, and a fuel treatment building. The power house may include an internal combustion engine adapted to be operated with pyrolysis oil based fuels. The power house may further include a conditioning and circulating system with a conditioning unit and a fuel recirculating unit, forming a fuel recirculating cycle together with an engine fuel system. The tank farm may include tanks for pyrolysis oil based fuels, a switching fuel or its components, and crude oil based fuels. The power plant may also include a first switching unit and a second switching unit to release fuel mixes from the fuel recirculating cycle. The power plant may allow switching fuels while continuously operating the internal combustion engine with various fuels.

In order to make possible in a simple way a complete conversion of the undesired exhaust gas constituents in a catalytic converter of an exhaust gas aftertreatment system of the internal combustion engine when the internal combustion engine is running, the invention proposes flushing the temporarily unused injection valves with fuel during an overrun mode of the internal combustion engine.

    摘要: A control system for an engine including a fuel delivery system and an ignition source is provided. The control system includes a detector, a processor, and at least one actuator. The detector is configured to sense a signal to change from a compression ignited fuel to a spark ignited fuel. The processor is configured to receive the signal from the detector and generate an actuation signal. The actuator is configured to receive the actuation signal, vary an operating speed of the engine, and selectively control at least one of the fuel delivery system and the ignition source.

    摘要: A method relates to operating an internal combustion engine in the form of an Otto engine, especially of a motor vehicle. Otto engine fuel (i.e., carburetor fuel, spark ignition engine fuel), such as gasoline or ethanol (E85), are directly injected into at least one combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine with at least one fuel injector. Optionally, instead of injecting ignition spark engine fuel or in addition, the internal combustion engine is operated with gas, especially CNG (compressed natural gas) or LPG (liquefied petroleum gas). During operation of the internal combustion engine with gas only, the engine is automatically switched to the operation with spark ignition engine fuel for a predetermined period, or the engine is switched to the operation with spark ignition engine fuel in addition to the operation with gas, in such a manner that a predetermined quantity of the carburetor fuel flows through the at least one fuel injector. The engine is then automatically switched back to the operation with gas only.
