    摘要: The invention relates to a common rail system for an internal combustion engine of a vehicle, comprising a high-pressure pump which delivers highly pressurized fuel to a high-pressure accumulator, from which the fuel is fed to at least one injection valve of the internal combustion engine, a low-pressure pump for conveying fuel from a fuel container via a conveying line to the high-pressure pump, a flow control valve as an electromagnetic switching valve which is arranged in the conveying line for controlling the fuel quantity which is fed by the high-pressure pump to the high-pressure accumulator; it is provided according to the invention that the flow control valve is configured as a ball seat valve with an inlet opening which is connected to the low-pressure pump and an outlet opening which is connected to the high-pressure pump, which ball seat valve is open in the de-energized state.

In certain aspect, the valve assembly includes a housing defining a valve chamber, a valve inlet in fluid communication with the valve chamber, a valve outlet in fluid communication with the valve chamber, a valve seat; a valve body movably disposed within the valve chamber, a retainer sealingly engaging the housing and defining a cavity between the base portion of the valve body and the retainer, wherein the retainer comprises one or more control orifices formed therein and configured to provide fluid communication to the cavity to regulate a position of the valve body based on at least a pressure difference between the valve chamber and the cavity, and a spring member disposed between the retainer and the valve body, wherein the spring member is configured to bias the valve body.

    摘要: A system and method is provided to analyze an intermediate pressure signal portion between an end of an injection event signal portion and a start of a subsequent injection event signal portion. The analysis is simplified by identifying a plurality of single cycle windows and calculating a single value, such as a mean or a median, for each of the windows. An intermediate portion single value is determined by averaging the single values for each of the windows. The intermediate portion single value may then be used to identify pumping events or leakage errors that occur during the intermediate pressure signal portion that affect further analysis of the intermediate pressure signal portion.

The invention is characterized in that the coil unit presents a plurality of slots providing access to the clip ring, across the coil unit, from the exterior of the assembly.

    摘要: A dual fuel system for an engine includes a plurality of fuel injectors that each include an injector body with a tip component defining a plurality of gas nozzle outlets and a plurality of liquid nozzle outlets positioned for direct injection into one of the engine cylinders. Each of the fuel injectors is fluidly connected to a gaseous fuel common rail through a quill and an outer passage defined between an inner tube and an outer tube. Each of the fuel injectors is fluidly connected to a liquid fuel common rail through the quill and an inner passage defined by the inner tube. Each combination of an inner tube and outer tube extend into the engine housing between the quill and one of the fuel injectors. Each of the inner tubes extends through one of the outer tubes and is compressed between a conical seat on the quill and a conical seat on one of the fuel injectors.
