    摘要: A two-stroke engine has a cylinder with a combustion chamber delimited by a reciprocating piston, wherein the piston drives in rotation a crankshaft, and wherein a spark plug projects into the combustion chamber and ignites a fuel/air mixture. The two-stroke engine further has devices for supplying fuel and combustion air to the combustion chamber and a control unit that determines the ignition timing based on an ignition map. The ignition map indicates the ignition timing as a function of the engine speed for at least one first and one second operating states and for at least one first and one second engine speed ranges. The engine is controlled in that for an engine cycle the ignition timing is set in the second operating state at least within the first engine speed range based on the engine speed and on the number of engine cycles since the last combustion.

    摘要: The present invention provides a single piece machined rotor comprising a shell having an upper lip and a lower lip, with a pocket formed between the upper lip and the lower lip for mounting magnets therein. The magnets are fixed in place within the inner sidewall of the rotor with an adhesive and spacers. The spacers are positioned between the magnets and are held in place on the shell of the rotor by fasteners. The spacers may be of any type of non-magnetic material that can absorb the heat of the engine. The rotor also preferably includes triggering protrusions and balancing cutouts machined into the shell of the rotor. The cutouts or grooves may be machined into the inner sidewall or the outer sidewall of the rotor. A plurality of timing teeth used for engine speed sensing maybe machined into the single piece rotor assembly. The present invention also contemplates a method of machining the entire rotor out of a single piece of material.

The flywheel (1) carries a parallelopipedly-shaped permanent magnet (5) for a magnetic ignition system. The permanent magnet has a short edge (6), a center edge (7) and a long edge (8). The permanent magnet (5) is polarized in the direction of the short edge (6). To provide a high moment of inertia of the flywheel (1) while achieving a low weight, the short edge of the permanent magnet (5) runs tangentially to the peripheral direction of the flywheel (1) and that the long edge (8) of the permanent magnet (5) is aligned parallel to the rotational axis (11) of the flywheel (1).

The vertical multi-cylinder engine is disposed in an engine cover and comprises a crank case and a crank shaft, the crank shaft being rotatably disposed and protruding upward from the crank case. The fly-wheel magneto device is disposed on the protruding portion of the crank shaft. The partition plate is disposed in the engine cover and partitions the inside of the engine cover into an engine air-inlet space and a space including a heat-generating source, the engine air-inlet space being disposed at the upper portion of the engine cover, and the space including a heat-generating source being disposed at the lower portion of the engine cover. The ventilation fan is disposed in the lower space below the partition plate.

    摘要: Electric power is generated with rotation of a flywheel and crankshaft rotated by a starting operation of a recoil starter and supplied for driving and controlling a fuel injection valve, the fuel injection valve is supplied with fuel pressurized by a mechanical pump driven in an interlocked relation to the crankshaft, and control means provides an "open" instruction to the fuel injection valve driving means in response to at least one of a voltage appearing on a reset input terminal of a microcomputer for controlling the fuel injection valve during resetting of the microcomputer. After completion of the resetting of the microcomputer, the fuel injection valve is controlled so as to cause fuel injection during "open" valve intervals based on a predetermined fuel injection pattern at predetermined fuel injection timings.

The system is adapted to be located beneath the flywheel of the engine and has overspeed and overheat protection. The overheat protection is of the type which is automatically deactivated after the overheat condition dissipates, but the deactivation will only occur when the operator slows the engine to a reduced speed before resuming normal operation.

    摘要: A bracket for mounting a transistor device and trigger coil of a breakerless ignition system between the induction coil and one of the leg portions of an A-shaped armature core. The bracket includes a hollow housing for receiving the transistor and trigger coil which are secured therein by means of an epoxy potting material. A pair of spaced guide surfaces integrally formed in the housing provide a guideway for slidably receiving the armature leg. A resilient arm member projects from the housing and includes a hooked portion which snaps into a locked position when the bracket is slid onto the armature leg to hold the bracket in place. A pair of resilient, spaced apart wing members also project from the housing to engage the induction coil to prevent vibration of the bracket between the induction coil and armature, and a third resilient wing member projects from one of the guide surfaces to engage the armature leg and prevent vibration of the bracket between the guide surfaces.

    摘要: A capacitor discharge ignition system in which shut-off of the electronic switch is ensured by the use of an impedance means in series between the electronic switch and the primary winding of the ignition transformer, and by the use of a voltage responsive device to remove the triggering potential from the electronic switch immediately after the conduction of the electronic switch. Engine shut-off is ensured by the application of triggering potential to the electronic switch concurrently with the application of charging current to the ignition capacitor whereby the electronic switch remains conductive to prevent the accumulation of a charge on the ignition capacitor. A novel twolegged core and physical arrangement of the coils and other components of the system is also disclosed for one and multiple cylinder operation.
