    摘要: A system for increasing the volumetric flow uniformity of fluid pumped through a conduit by an infusion pump. A pumping mechanism operates in identifiable step movements that are broken down into microstep movements that are then grouped into packets. The pumping mechanism controls the period of each microstep, so that the sum of the microstep periods in a packet is essentially equal to the packet period, with little or no waiting time on the motor. The motor preferably begins moving the assigned microsteps in each packet immediately upon the beginning of the time period, but controls the period of the microsteps for that packet.

The step size and step rate can be varied to provide a desired liquid dispense rate. The magnitude of the current applied to the motor is ramped up and down while maintaining constant the relative relationships in the magnitudes of the currents applied in order to smoothly step the motor over a desired step angle.

    摘要: In order to realize, without inviting cost increase, a control for maintaining a pressure of fluid delivered from a pump at a target value, a pump control unit is provided with a driver control unit controlling a rotational speed of a hydraulic pump through adjustment of a duty ratio of a PWM signal driving excitation coils of an electric motor. Further, the pump control unit is provided also with a signal correction circuit configured to convert a current flowing in the excitation coils to a voltage signal with using a shunt resistor and to divide the voltage signal with using a voltage division ratio setting circuit and to shorten an ON signal of the PWM signal by increasing the divided voltage. The voltage division ratio setting circuit has a characteristics of setting the divided voltage higher, the longer an ON period of the PWM signal.

    摘要: A system and method for measuring fluid flow rate in a system where fluid is pumped, such as a gas monitoring instrument where gas is pumped from a space such as a room or enclosure through a conduit to a sensor. The flow of gas through a pump is determined by measuring motor back-e.m.f. which is proportional to motor speed. In a system where motor speed is regulated by pulse width modulation of the motor drive voltage, the back-e.m.f. is sampled during intervals between the drive pulses applied to the motor, and in a further aspect the sampling is done at selected, spaced-apart or infrequent intervals such as once for every ten or once for every hundred motor drive pulses. Advantageously, in an instrument that uses a microprocessor and analog-to-digital converter to measure gas-concentration, the same microprocessor and converter can provide the PWM control of the pump, in response to the back-e.m.f. generated by the pump motor between the drive pulses. The microprocessor compares the output of the analog-to-digital converter, corresponding to the back-e.m.f., which in turn corresponds to the pump motor speed, to a set-point value, representative of the desired pump motor speed. The processor then adjusts the PWM to control the pump motor to achieve and maintain the desired speed. As a result, in a gas monitor, the gas-flow rate may be maintained close to a desired gas flow rate regardless of the voltage supplied by the battery or other voltage source, regardless of the degree to which the gas is filtered, and under a wide range of operating conditions.

When the brake switch 12 has been switched on, the operation of the pump is started. After predetermined time T has elapsed from a moment at which the brake switch 12 has been switched on, the operation of the pump is interrupted. If the brake switch 12 is continuously switched on after the predetermined time T has elapsed, the pump is operated for time elongated from the predetermined time T until the brake switch 12 is switched off. If the brake switch 12 is again switched on before the predetermined time T elapses, the pump is operated until the predetermined time T elapses from the moment at which the brake switch 12 has again been switched on.

    摘要: In a treatment system for feeding a liquid from a tank having an outlet by a controllable pump operated cyclically, an automatic calibration/measuring system. The system is arranged for determining the volume of liquid pumped each cycle of the pump, a fluid flow measuring device and a controller coupled thereto. The fluid flow measuring device is in fluid communication with the tank. The fluid flow measuring device has a totalizer counter and batch measurement capability. The batch value in units of fluid volume or mass measurement is configured into the fluid flow measuring device. At the start of the batch, the fluid flow measuring device sends a ready signal to the controller that it is waiting to start the batch. The controller sends a start signal to the fluid flow measuring device that will initialize (zero reset) the totalizer counter and also tells the fluid flow measuring device that the batch has started and the totalizer to start the count of flow measurement. When the totalizer value equals the batch value, a batch complete signal is sent from the fluid flow measuring device to the controller. The batch complete signal defines a predetermined volume by which the controller measures and automatically calibrates this system. The controller in this system determines the actual number of cycles of operation of the pump required to pump the predetermined volume and if that number has deviated from a pre-established number. If so, the pump is controlled in response to the detected deviation.
