    摘要: The fluid pump has a casing defining an inlet manifold, an outlet manifold and a plurality of piston chambers between the inlet manifold and the outlet manifold, each piston chamber having a piston therein for drawing fluid into the piston chamber from the inlet manifold and for pumping fluid out of the piston chamber into the outlet manifold, and a spring biased check valve associated with each piston chamber wherein a spring biases each valve toward the piston chamber and seals the piston chamber from the outlet manifold, the improvement comprises: at least one of the check valves having a hole therethrough which provides open communication between the outlet manifold and the piston chamber, blocking and sealing structure associated with the check valve for blocking and sealing the opening, and a mechanism for moving the blocking and sealing structure between a first position wherein the hole is blocked and sealed and a second position whereby the hole is not blocked or sealed, such that when the blocking and sealing structure is in the first position, liquid is prevented from flowing from the outlet manifold back into the piston cylinder and thereby causes fluid to exit the pump in a continuous flow and when the blocking and sealing structure is in the second position fluid can flow from the outlet manifold into the piston cylinder and fluid exits the pump in a pulsed or vibratory flow.

    摘要: A double acting pump having inlet and outlet poppet valves clamped to the pump housing in proximity to an inlet manifold and an outlet manifold. The end portion of each cylinder in the double acting pump is provided with a sloped wall to prevent debris in the pumped fluid from becoming stuck in the pump cylinder. Each poppet includes a valve housing having a spring biased valve head slidably mounted therein and engageable with a removable valve seat. A stem is connected to the valve head and extends through an end wall of the valve housing to the exterior thereof to function as an external indicator rod to indicate the position of the valve head within the valve body. A handle is connected to the stem so that the stem can be manually pulled to lift the valve head from the seat to check the operation of the poppet valve, and a disc is mounted on the stem a predetermined distance from the end wall when the valve is in the closed position so that the wear between the valve seat and head can be obtained. The valve seat is dimensioned to allow a substantially unrestricted flow of fluid therethrough and having a 45.degree. slope engageable by a 90.degree. edge on the valve head to minimize the surface area between the valve head and seat so that debris cannot be trapped between the valve head and seat to prevent the valve head from properly seating.

    摘要: A valve for causing pulsatile flow in a multi-piston plunger pump includes a valve poppet, a valve seat, and a spring biasing the valve poppet against the valve seat; and a mechanism holding the valve poppet in an open position, thereby producing pulsatile flow from the pump. The mechanism includes a magnet and an adjustment mechanism for moving the magnet toward and away from the valve poppet. When the magnet is moved toward the valve poppet, the magnet attracts the poppet away from the valve seat, and when the magnet is moved away from the valve poppet, the magnet releases the poppet. The spring then biases the poppet against the valve seat in a closed position.
