Abstract: An electric pump includes a motor unit rotationally driving a drive shaft, and a pump unit. The pump unit includes a pump rotor that sends the fluid by a driving force of the driving shaft, and a pump housing that surrounds at least one side of the pump rotor. The pump housing includes an attachment surface extending in the axial direction and in contact with an attached body, first and second flow paths respectively on the suction side and the discharge side, and a fixing location within the attachment surface and fixed to the attached body by a fixing member within a maximum outer shape of the motor housing as viewed in the axial direction. Opening locations of the first and second flow paths are displaced from each other in the axial direction on the attachment surface.

Abstract: A gear having volume expansion for cavitation reduction in a gear pump mesh. Abstract: An electric and hydraulic machine includes a housing defining a motor chamber and a pump chamber, a motor comprising a rotor and a stator positioned within the motor chamber, and a pump comprising a pumping element positioned within the pump chamber, the pumping element movable by the motor to displace fluid in the pump chamber. The pump chamber includes a low-pressure chamber and a high-pressure chamber, a unit inlet defined by the housing and in communication with the low-pressure chamber, and a unit outlet defined by the housing and in communication with the high-pressure chamber. The pump chamber is positioned radially inward of the motor chamber such that the pump is nested within the motor. A radial cooling channel extends in a radial direction from the low-pressure chamber to the motor chamber such that fluid in the pump chamber communicates with the rotor and the stator to cool the motor.

Abstract: An internal gear pump or motor includes inner and outer rotors that mesh together. An internal electric motor or generator may include a stator supported by a support element that passes through bearings of the outer rotor and the inner rotor may act as a rotor of the electric motor or generator. With or without the stator, the support element may support bearings of the inner rotor. The support element may be, for example, an eccentric shaft. Fluids may be supplied via the support element, if present, for cooling, lubrication or to flush a working fluid out of portions of the pump or motor, such as bearings. Flushing may also occur via channels in the housing with or without the presence of the support element. Axial faces of one of a pair of adjacent elements, for example the inner rotor and the outer rotor, may include portions for improved axial sealing and wearing in of the other of the pair. Fluid may enter and exit chambers between the inner and outer rotors by radial ports.

Abstract: A rotor comprises a central body configured to rotate. A lobe extends perpendicularly from the central body along an lobe axis. A curved leading periphery and a curved trailing periphery are on opposite sides of the lobe axis. A V-shaped rib spans between the curved leading periphery and the curved trailing periphery. A first hollow space is bounded by the V-shaped rib, the curved leading periphery, and the curved trailing periphery. The first hollow space is distal with respect to the central body along the lobe axis. A second hollow space is bounded by the V-shaped rib, the central body, the curved leading periphery, and the curved trailing periphery. The second hollow space is proximal with respect to the central body along the lobe axis. The rotor can comprise a plurality of stacked, stamped sheets to form a helically twisted supercharger rotor.
