A third thread region having a third helical thread is provided extending from the second thread region toward the second end. A head is provided on the second end and includes a disk and an octagonal boss between the disk and the third thread region, the boss including four major sides extending perpendicular to the disk and four chamfered sides, the chamfered sides being flush with a side edge of the disk.

摘要： A fastener installation tool and related method are provided for installing fasteners in boards. The tool can include a feed mechanism that automatically and sequentially feeds collated fasteners to a nose assembly. The nose assembly can include a guide having an alignment projection extending downwardly from the guide, and configured to engage a board corner and/or side surface, so as to align an angled bore through which fasteners are guided with the board corner and or side surface. The nose assembly can include a magnetic element located adjacent a path on which the collated fasteners are advanced. The magnetic element can exert a magnetic force on an individual fastener, aligning it for precise entry into the angled bore. The nose assembly can include a guide pocket to positively constrain a fastener as it rotates to ensure a desired advancement trajectory. A related method of installation is provided.

The countersink portion is tapered from a first diameter equal to a diameter of the threaded portion to a second diameter that is equal to or larger than a diameter or a maximum width of the screw head. The countersinking portion is configured to form a countersink hole in a receiving material as the fastener is rotated and forced into the receiving material.

摘要： A fastener for composite or plastic material having a dense composition employs a head which has a socket and a recessed underside and a lower rim. In one embodiment, the shank has an upper portion with an enlarged diameter and a left hand thread while the lower portion has a tri-lobed configuration and is traversed by a right hand thread. The right hand thread may have a plurality of notches which, in one embodiment, are arranged in a spiral array. One embodiment of a fastener has longitudinally spaced rings which project from an enlarged diameter portion of the shank. The lower portion of the shank has a thread with a plurality of notches. The rings have a major diameter and spacing greater than the major diameter and spacing of the thread.

摘要： A fastener adapted for anchoring engineered lumber panels has a threaded portion with a double included securement thread having an included angle between 15° and 25°. The ratio of the major thread diameter to the minor diameter exceeds 2.0 to provide a large thread surface to resist pull out. The fastener also includes a drill tip having an effective diameter substantially equal to the minor diameter of the thread. The fastener is configured to resist cocking upon being driven into the engineered lumber panel and to resist marring of the panel fascia.

摘要： An improved screw includes a head and a shank. The head has a wrench cavity on the top to be driven by a screwdriver. The shank is connected to the bottom of the head. The shank has a round shank at an upper end close to the head to form a left-hand thread section, and a triangular shank at a lower end to form a right-hand thread section. The left-hand and right-hand thread sections have thread points formed in an asymmetrical manner. The right-hand thread section further has an upper thread section and a lower thread section at the bottom to form the tip. The lower thread section has saw-toothed threads. Thus tapping efficiency improves when the screw is fastened to a workpiece, and faster and firmer fastening can be achieved.

摘要： A screw, in particular a self-tapping screw, has a screw thread which covers up to the front end of the screw formed as a drilling tip or cutting tip. In the front area, starting with a distance from the front end of the screw, there is an opposite thread showing the same pitch as the screw thread, however, its thread height is lower than the thread height of the screw thread. This second, opposite single-thread, double-thread or triple-thread/multi-thread forms a cutting edge with its thread edge which is used to cut fibers in order to reduce wedge effect during screwing in the screw. The screw is particularly suitable for wood or wood-like materials in the edge areas of structural elements.
