    摘要: A synchronizing device is provided for synchronizing a first rotatable part with a second rotatable part adjacent to the first rotatable part. The synchronizing device includes a first part provided with an engaging sleeve and a second part provided with a synchronizer ring. The synchronizing device has at least one positioning resilient member which is arranged to act upon the synchronizer ring and the second part, in order to allow a design with few parts and also to resynchronize the synchronizing ring with the second part. A transmission including such a synchronizing device is also provided.

    摘要: A synchronizer mechanism for synchronizing the rotation of gears between a power input shaft and a power output shaft in a manual transmission includes a hub and a synchronizer sleeve disposed about the hub and moveable relative thereto into and out of engagement with adjacent gears to synchronize the rotation of the adjacent gears with the rotation of the power input shaft. An indexing mechanism is employed for indexing the synchronizer sleeve into and out of engagement with adjacent gears. The indexing mechanism includes a retaining mechanism and a detent portion having a main synchronization detent and at least one second synchronization detent disposed laterally adjacent the main synchronization detent. The main synchronization detent causes an intermediate clutch ring to contact a cylindrical cone portion on a gear and begin the change in angular velocity of the gear and to begin the synchronization sequence of the mechanism at a first time. The second synchronization detent causes the intermediate clutch ring to contact a cylindrical cone portion on a gear and change the angular velocity of the gear and synchronizer mechanism at a second time reducing the minor speed difference between the gear and synchronizer sleeve caused by loss of synchronization between the time of sleeve and ring indexing and initial engagement contact of the sleeve to the clutch teeth of the gear.

The clutch includes: a piston plate; at least one clutch plate; at least one wedge plate; and respective friction material disposed between the at least one clutch plate and the at least one wedge plate. The piston plate is arranged to: displace a first distance in a first axial direction to clamp the at least one clutch plate and the at least one wedge plate to lock rotation of the input component to rotation of the output gear; and displace further in the first axial direction to displace the at least one wedge plate to lock respective rotations of the input component and the output gear via contact of the at least one wedge plate with the input component and the output gear.

Immediately before the projecting portions 66a of the spline teeth 66 of the sleeve 45 moving rightward mesh with dog teeth 37a of the gear 37, the second inclined surfaces &bgr; of the projecting portions 66a move and ride on the synchro-spring 71 so as to gradually reduce a pressing force axially applied to the blocking ring 67, thereby making it possible to provide a smooth mesh engagement between the spline teeth 66 of the sleeve 45 and the dog teeth 37a of the gear 37.

    摘要: A synchronization device for gear shaft mechanisms includes an outer synchronization ring which is formed as a deep-drawn plate section which is toothed on its outer perimeter to correspond to locking cogs of a clutch sleeve and a coupler. The outer synchronization ring has a conical friction surface in its middle area and locking tabs on its inner circumference in a deep-drawn bottom area thereof. The locking tabs provide a form-locked solid coupling with a synchronizer which has mating recesses which open outward radially and extend inward radially from an outer periphery of the synchronizer. A dimensionally exact and simple manufacturing of the outer synchronizing ring is provided in very few work steps enabling the synchronization device to be attractive for many uses which were previously avoided due to cost.

    摘要: The gearing consists of a four-shaft toothed-gear planetary (epicyclic) transmission and a parallel, infinitely variable hydrostatic transmission, as well as additional gear wheels; toothed clutches achieve the various gears (speeds), whereas the hydrostatic transmission effectuates the infinitely variable adjustment of the infinitely variable transmission of the entire gearing; the gear shifting takes place at a synchronous speed of rotation, load-free, and without interrupting the tractive force. The special characteristic consists in the design of the toothed clutches and the control that has been provided for the shifting action, the effect being that the shifting into a new gear and out of the previous one is completely smooth and free of jolts. Apart from provding this comfortable and easy shifting action, the gearing also possesses an extensive range, overall, of transmission adjustment capability, as well as a good efficiency factor. Thus, it is very suitable for application in motor vehicles.

    摘要: An improved strutless synchronizer has an annular spring interposed between an internally splined sleeve, mounted for axial sliding movement on a main shaft, and an associated blocking ring. Selected ones of the sleeve splines are formed at the extremities with radially inwardly extending teeth. Each of the teeth has a dual chamfered face portion in opposed relation with the annular spring. The blocking ring has three equally spaced lugs each formed with a transverse groove sized to axially capture the annular spring so as to allow the spring freedom to rotate in its grooves relative to the blocking ring. Each time the sleeve is moved toward meshed engagement with an associated main shaft ratio gear its spline teeth chamfered faces compress the spring at random points thereby minimizing spring wear. Also, the grooves, by positively retaining the spring, insure instant unloading of the blocking ring.

    摘要: An inertia lock type synchronous clutch mechanism in which elastic ring members on blocking rings are engaged by a shift sleeve splined to a clutch hub at a plurality of sloped circumferential cam portions protruding from the inner circumference of the sleeve so that the blocking rings are moved axially into frictional engagement with tapered cone portions of synchronized gears by the force applied through the elastic ring members by the axial shifting action of the shift sleeve. Each of the elastic ring members is formed with a plurality of outwardly convex portions corresponding to the respective cam portions and concave portions between the convex portions so that the elastic ring member concave portions engage grooves formed in the outer circumference of the boss portion of each of the blocking rings, whereby excess bulging of the elastic ring member is prevented.
