    摘要: A vibration isolator includes a housing having a top surface, an opposing bottom surface, and a hollow interior and an open-ended sleeve having a hollow interior and an extending flange, the extending flange having a top surface and a bottom surface. A resilient core, having a hollow interior, is positioned between and fixedly coupled to the bottom surface of the housing and the top surface of the flange of the sleeve. The resilient core is disposed within a portion of the hollow interior of the open-ended sleeve. A first bushing is disposed within the interior of the sleeve. The first bushing has a flange including a bottom surface that overlays a top surface of the resilient core. A second bushing is disposed within the first bushing.

    摘要: An elastomeric bearing element having an outer race, an inner race, and at least two elastomeric segments secured between the inner and outer races is provided. The elastomeric segments are spaced from one another by a corresponding number of expansion segments. The elastomeric segments provide a first spring rate when a first force applied to the outer race places the elastomeric segments in compression and a second spring rate when a second force applied to the outer race places the elastomeric segments in shear. The second spring rate is lower than the first spring rate.

    摘要: An engine mount for mounting an automotive vehicle engine to the automotive vehicle chassis. The mount comprises a vibration isolator portion which is designed with relatively low stiffness to provide increased vibration isolation. Excessive displacements are avoided by snubbers. Snubbing action in one direction is provided by a circular snubber that is disposed in spaced relation to the vibration isolator portion. Snubbing action in other directions is provided by the particular design of the vibration isolator portion. Embodiments of both a front and a rear engine mount are disclosed.

    摘要: A resilient mounting intended primarily to withstand compressive loading is of a tubular and interleaved construction comprising a pair of end plates and an intermediate annular plate which serves to stiffen a tubular elastomeric body provided between the end plates. A buffer member is secured to one of the end plates and extends longitudinally within the tubular body to lie normally free from contact with the tubular body. A protective cushioning layer provided between the buffer member and internal edge of the intermediate plate prevents direct contact between the buffer member and intermediate plate under transverse load.

    摘要: Trunnion mounted axle assemblies are used on farm tractors, fork lift trucks, golf carts, and earth moving vehicles such as front end loaders. Normally, such axles are mounted by pillow blocks to the vehicle frame and rotation of the axle is resisted by resilient elastomeric bushings which act as torsion springs. These bushings do not provide as long a service life as desired and must frequently be replaced. The present invention overcomes this problem by providing a resisting bar (42) rigidly attached to the end of each trunnion (30) and a resisting cap (44) containing a resiliently deformable member (46). The bar (42) is received in a slot (48). The assembly can be adjusted as necessary to compensate for wear.

    摘要: At least two vibration proof elements are interposed between a tool body and the handle thereof. Each of the elements has a first supporting member connected to the handle, and two rubber blocks interposed between the first and second supporting members so that the element functions as a shock absorber. The first supporting member is partially received in the second supporting member in such a manner that the first supporting member is reciprocally movable with respect to the second supporting member when a force is applied to the element in a longitudinal direction of the tool body. Each of the first and second supporting members has a U-shaped portion so that the inner surface of the second supporting member abuts the outer surface of the first supporting member thus preventing the handle from excessively rotating about an axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, and passing through the elements.
