    摘要: A wirelaying apparatus includes a tool arm with a tool head which carries a wirelaying tool. The tool has a cutting tip through which a wire is laid into a working surface of a workpiece. The workpiece is retained in a retainer and is moved relative to the wirelaying tool. In use, the cutting tip follows along an arcuate path while laying the wire into the working surface of the workpiece. Thus, more complex wirelaying configurations are achieved, such as a bi-helical wirelaying pattern in a generally cylindrical pipe fitting or a bi-spiral wirelaying pattern in a semi-cylindrical saddle coupler pipe fitting.

The pumping mechanisms, though, can be complex, employing multiple transfer cylinders and movable pipes. These designs have their problems, specifically wear between poorly sealing surfaces. To reduce this problem, seals are provided that have multiple wear surfaces which include harder tiles secured over a softer core to benefit from the relative hardness or flexibility of each of the respective materials.

    摘要: A duct coupling pad for joining flexible ducts includes an outer section surrounding a central opening. An adhesive coating is applied to one surface of the coupling pad for adhering the pad to a first one of the ducts to be joined. An opening is formed in the first duct within the area of the central opening of the coupling pad. Securing tabs integrally formed with the outer section of the coupling pad are folded inwardly into the opening in the first duct and adhered to the inner surface thereof. The coupling pad binds the edge of the opening in the first duct to prevent splitting and tearing of the linings. A collar is inserted into the central opening of the coupling pad and the second duct is connected to the collar.
