摘要： An apparatus for cooking food with infrared radiation includes an infrared energy emitter for emitting the infrared radiation, and a grid in close proximity to the infrared energy emitter. A first side of the grid can be for supporting the food at a position so that at least some of the infrared radiation will cook the food. A second side of the grid can be sufficiently close to the emitting side of the emitter for substantially restricting any airflow in any space between the second side of the grid and the emitting side of the emitter. Partitions of the grid can operatively segregate the emitting side of the emitter into segments, which can provide a substantially uniform distribution of infrared radiation.

摘要： A radiant burner and method are disclosed. The radiant burner is for treating an effluent gas stream from a manufacturing process tool and comprises: a combustion chamber having a porous sleeve through which combustion materials pass for combustion proximate to a combustion surface of the porous sleeve; at least one effluent nozzle for ejecting the effluent gas stream into the combustion chamber; and a perforated liner proximate to the combustion surface. Providing a perforated liner controls the combustion materials passing into the combustion chamber to treat the effluent gas stream and also provides a surface onto which residual combustion deposits may be received. Accordingly, the liner can both improve the efficiency of the treatment of the effluent gas stream and can act as a sacrificial surface which may be replaced or cleaned either in accordance with a maintenance regime or when the performance of the radiant burner reduces.

摘要： A radiant heater is configured to be positioned above a floor at a predetermined distance and to produce a generally quadrangular zone of heat within a predetermined temperature range, preferably between approximately eighty-five degrees Fahrenheit and one-hundred degrees Fahrenheit, on the floor. The heater includes an elongated burner assembly, an inner cone member, at least one emitter assembly and end plates which define a combustion chamber. The emitter assembly is configured to direct heat produced within the combustion chamber downwardly and outwardly to the floor to form the generally quadrangular zone of heat. A canopy is provided which directs heat heading upwardly and outwardly back downwardly toward the floor and toward the emitter assembly. A reflector pan is positioned below the burner and the emitter assembly and assists in directing the heat from the emitter assembly toward the floor. A blower assembly may be incorporated into the heater.
