The instructions when executed cause the processor to control the RF signal emitter to enter an activated state for a duration of time, in which activated state the RF signal emitter is controlled by the processor to selectively emit outgoing RF signals, which outgoing RF signals create electromagnetic radiation exposure. The instructions when executed further cause the processor to determine a duration electromagnetic radiation exposure value representative of a total of the electromagnetic radiation exposure created by the outgoing RF signals emitted during the activated state duration.

The present invention relates to a sensing apparatus for electromagnetic (EM) wave intensity, which comprises a receiving unit, a conversion unit, and an alarm unit. The receiving unit receives an EM wave, and produces a corresponding current signal to the conversion unit. The conversion unit converts the current signal to a voltage signal, and transmits the voltage signal to the alarm unit, which produces a corresponding output signal according to the voltage signal with different intensities for notifying users that the EM wave intensity surrounding the users has reached a harmful level for human bodies. When the sensing apparatus according to the present invention senses that the EM wave intensity surrounding the users has reached a harmful level for human bodies, it will drive the alarm unit to warn the users. Thereby, human bodies can avoid exposing to harmful EM wave intensities.

A disclosed specific absorption rate measurement system according to an embodiment of the present invention measures a specific absorption rate of electromagnetic waves from a radiating source absorbed in a dielectric medium. The system includes a measurement portion that measures a first electric field vector on an observation surface which is a two-dimensional surface in the dielectric medium; an electric field calculation portion that calculates a second electric field vector in a point excluded from the observation surface in accordance with electric field components of the first electric field vector measured on the observation surface, the electric field components being parallel to the observation surface; and a calculation portion that calculates the specific absorption rate from the calculated second electric field vector.
