摘要： A photosensitive printing plate supplying apparatus for supplying a photosensitive printing plate to an automatic plate making machine for a photosensitive printing plate includes a printing plate packaging device which accommodates a bundle of photosensitive printing plates; a printing plate accommodating portion to which the printing plate packaging device is removably attached and which can completely shield light from the exterior; and a taking-out/conveying device which takes out the photosensitive printing plates from an interior of the printing plate packaging device in the light-shielded accommodation portion and conveys the photosensitive printing plates to a predetermined position. When the printing plate packaging means has an opening/closing lid, the photosensitive printing plate supplying apparatus may further include a lid opening/closing device. In this case, the lid opening/closing device operates in an interlocking manner with the taking-out/conveying device, and is opened when the taking-out operation by the taking-out/conveying device is started, and is closed when the taking-out operation is completed.

摘要： A mechanism for opening and closing a resealable cartridge includes a base for receiving a cartridge, a roller shaft for engaging a cover adhesively disposed on the cartridge, a motor for rotating the roller shaft, and a slidable carriage that supports the roller shaft and the motor. The motor rotates the roller shaft in a first direction to peel the cover away from the cartridge, and in a second direction to reseal the cover to the cartridge. The motor includes a rotor shaft, coupled in substantial alignment with the roller shaft, for applying rotational torque to the roller shaft without applying undesirable radial forces that can damage the cartridge cover, thereby extending cartridge life. The coupling of the rotor shaft also eliminates the need for a complicated gear train, resulting in reduced size, ease of repair, and enhanced reliability. The roller shaft includes a compliant friction coating that evenly distributes sealing force over the cover during closure. The compliant friction coating also produces added driving traction that helps the roller shaft drive the carriage during both the opening and closing operations, thereby avoiding stretching of the cover. The carriage is slidably coupled to the base, resulting in further size reductions. The mechanism is essentially modular in design, facilitating repairs and enabling replacement of the mechanism with a spare to reduce down time.

摘要： A printing apparatus includes a feed cassette detachably loaded in a main body of the printing apparatus for containing cut sheets, a sheet feeder unit for feeding a cut sheet contained in the feed cassette to the main body of printing apparatus, a printing unit for printing on the cut sheet feed by the sheet feeder unit, a bar code provided on the feed cassette or the cut sheet contained in the feed cassette for representing various information about the cut sheet, a bar code reader for reading the bar code, and an electronic control apparatus for controlling the sheet feeder unit and the printing unit. The bar code reader is provided on the main body of the printing apparatus at which the bar code reader is able to read the bar code when the feed cassette is loaded in the main body of the printing apparatus. The electronic control apparatus controls the sheet feeder unit and the printing unit based on the bar code read by the bar code reader.

The rewinding motor rewinds the cartridge spool with a predetermined length of the photosensitive recording sheet, the predetermined length being equal to a distance between the exposing unit and the peeling roller, based on the detection of the separation by the separation verification sensor.

摘要： The container for a stack of photographic sheets comprises spring means for biasing the sheet stack away from the bottom wall of the container and against retaining means at the front of the container, which comprises a peripheral flange or lip entering over only marginal portions of the front sheet so that the latter can be photographically exposed to a light-image while in the container. The lip is interrupted at opposed regions to permit the sheet to buckle when subjected to buckling forces preparatory to removal of the sheet from the container. Detent means are provided on the inner face of the retaining lip adjacent a pair of corners to prevent the buckled sheet from returning to its original flat condition.

摘要： A mechanism facilitating the loading of a copying machine with a stack of paper includes a lid hinged to the machine wall and swingable between a vertical position exposing the opening. A feed roller is fixed to a first shaft rotatably supported at a point remote from the opening between sidearms which are swingable about an upper drive shaft which is belt coupled to the first shaft so that the feed roller is movable with the sidearms between a raised retracted position and a normally lowered advanced position. Cam members are mounted on the lid and levers pivoted between their ends for swinging about a transverse horizontal axis have their inner ends engaging the underfaces of the sidearms and their outer ends provided with cam followers engaging the cams whereby the opening of the lid raises the feed roller to permit the insertion of a paper stack and the closing of the lid releases the sidearms to permit the lowering of the feed roller into engagement with the top sheet.
