摘要： A microfilm reader-printer having a reader mode for projecting an image of a microfilm onto a screen and a printer mode for printing the image on a copy paper. The screen is provided with indexes indicative of a plurality of sizes of a copy paper. For a copy paper of a size larger than a certain size, the index indicates a smaller size than the size of the copy paper. A lens of variable magnification type is used so that the magnification of the projection lens for the reader mode is made smaller than the magnification for printer mode when a copy paper of a size larger than the certain size is selected. The magnifications for the reader mode and printer mode are made equal to each other when a copy paper of a size smaller than or equal to the certain size is selected.

摘要： An image of a microfilm is projected on a screen by light emitted from a light source. A pair of cursors are provided on each of adjacent sides of the screen so that a desired area of the image displayed on the screen can be designated by moving the cursors. A rotary mirror for scanning the image of the microfilm is arranged between the microfilm and the screen. The image of the microfilm is guided to a photosensitive drum by the mirror. A shutter is located between the photosensitive drum and the mirror. By controlling the shutter and the light source in accordance with an area designated by the cursors, an image of the microfilm corresponding to the designated area can be formed on the photosensitive drum.

摘要： A roll microfilm printer and method includes preview optics sequentially to scan microfilm images for temporarily recording at least edge location and background density data and printing optics sequentially to print the microfilm images onto plain paper with masking and exposure control based upon the prerecorded data from the preview optics. The preview optics include a sensor board having an array of photo diode sensors to receive a light beam that sequentially passes through microfilm images contained on the moving microfilm strip, the optically sensed data from the images is electronically converted and temporarily recorded for use in subsequently controlling the printing optics. The printing optics includes a high speed mask assembly positioned adjacent the moving microfilm strip, the mask assembly having two high speed stepper motors controlled in accordance with the prerecorded data to drive edge masks toward or away from one another to mask unused image areas.

摘要： An image recording apparatus of this invention includes a microfilm feeder for moving images on a microfilm to a read position; a printer section for forming an image on the microfilm located at the read position on a sheet; a plurality of bin trays for stacking the sheets delivered from the printer section; a sorter for distributing the sheets delivered from the printer section to the bin trays; a case mark detector for detecting a case mark formed in correspondence with a specific one of images of each case on the microfilm; and a CPU for controlling the sorter in accordance with an output from the case mark detector so that different bin trays hold the sheets, on which images of each objective case are formed, in units of cases; and an input unit for inputting a copy set number. The CPU also controls the printer section so as to repeat an operation for sequentially recording the images of each objective case in a predetermined order in units of sets.
