    摘要: A portable electronic device and a control method thereof are provided. The method is adapted to a portable electronic device including a rotatable element, a fixed element, a screen, a processor, a switch module with at least two protruding elements, and fixed points. The rotatable element is nearby the fixed element. The protruding elements and the fixed points are facing to each other and configured at one and the other of the rotatable element and the fixed element. The processor is coupled to the switch module and the screen. The method includes to display a default user interface corresponding to a default mode on the screen, to determine a corresponding mode according to all press states of each protruding element in the switch module by the processor when the rotatable element is rotated due to an external force applied thereto, and to display a corresponding user interface on the screen.

The multi-function actuator includes an actuator button movably provided on the casing to selectively move between an idle position, a time adjustment position and a triggering position, wherein in the idle position, the actuator button disengages with the MCU to allow normal operation of the electronic device, wherein in the time adjustment position, the actuator button is moved from the idle position to allow adjustment of the time displaying device, and wherein in the triggering position, the actuator is moved to engage with the MCU for triggering an operation of the electronic device.

    摘要: The present invention concerns a control device for electronic apparatus of the electronic stem type, adapted to be shifted between a plurality of axial positions. According to one preferred embodiment, the stem (1), with axis X, has four different axial positions. Two contact clips (21, 22, 60, 61) mutually offset in the direction of the axis X are provided to make contact with two respective power supply terminals (19, 20, 75, 76) of a source of electrical power supply. The stem comprises a plurality of cylindrical portions (36, 38, 50, 51, 52) which cooperate with deformable extensions (27, 28, 64, 65) of the contact clips to deform them in a direction substantially perpendicular to the axis X. Thus, in accordance with the axial position of the stem (1), the contact clips (21, 22, 60, 61) can be in different electrical states, i.e. isolated or connected to the source of power supply, independently of one another. As a result the assembly formed by the two contact clips can exhibit four different states, each being representative of a given axial position of the stem.

    摘要: A switching mechanism is provided for a multimode electronic timepiece having a casing, a device for indicating a time-of-day and an integrated circuit operable in a plurality of modes. The switching mechanism includes a setting stem mounted for rotational movement and positionable in a plurality of axial setting positions. The setting stem includes at least one tooth. The switching mechanism also includes a switch arm having a first end, a second end and an intermediate portion. The intermediate portion engages the tooth of the setting stem. The switching mechanism further includes a first and a second electrical contact. When the setting stem is in at least one of the axial setting positions and while the timepiece is operating in at least two of the modes, the intermediate portion cooperates with the tooth to intermittently form, in response to a rotation of the setting stem, an electrical connection between the second end and, when the setting stem is rotating in a first direction, the first electrical contact to produce an intermittent first electrical pulse. Alternatively, when the setting stem is rotating in a second direction, an electrical connection is intermittently formed between the second end and the second electrical contact to produce an intermittent second electrical pulse. In one embodiment, the intermittent first and second electrical signals are inputs to setting functions performed within at least one of the modes of the timepiece.

    摘要: A rotary switch which cooperates with a printed circuit board employs a knob member having a handle portion that protrudes through an opening in a panel of an equipment housing. The printed circuit board is spaced beneath the panel and has printed wiring contacts that are disposed along a circular path beneath the knob member. Switches which include the printed wiring contacts are opened and closed when the knob member is rotated. In one embodiment, four pairs of printed wiring contacts are disposed on the PCB at 90.degree. intervals and a spacer sheet having openings positioned at the contact pairs rests on the PCB. A contactor sheet rests on the spacer sheet and supports contactor elements that are positioned to protrude through the openings and bridge the contactor pairs when the appropriate region of the contactor sheet is depressed. Such depression is accomplished by contactor legs extending from a contactor member affixed to the underside of the knob member. A decoder circuit connected to the contact pairs provides output signals corresponding to the angular position of the knob member. Such a rotary switch is particularly useful for setting the time for appliances such electrical clocks or video cassette recorders.

    摘要: A manually-actuated contact switch arrangement for an electronic watch in which an electronic circuit board is mounted on a base plate fitted within a case, the board having a contact extending therefrom which when electrically connected to the case completes a circuit effecting a command or setting function. The arrangement includes a return spring anchored on the base plate. A section of the free end portion of this spring is received in a transverse groove in a push member displaceably seated within a bore in the case whereby the spring imposes an initial tension on the member to maintain it at a predetermined rest position. By depressing the spring-biased push member, the free end of the spring is caused to engage the contact to close the circuit.
