An actual volume of water {dot over (m)}W,IST, a desired volume of water {dot over (m)}W,SOLL and a maximum water-volume deficiency FBmax are used in the equation.

摘要: A mixing valve for mixing steam and water comprising an inlet chamber for steam, an inlet chamber for water, and a mixing chamber for mixing the steam and the water. The mixing chamber has at least one outlet connected thereto. A valve member arranged in the steam inlet chamber is coupled to a diaphragm. The valve is responsive to pressure differentials in the water inlet chamber, and is utilized to control steam flow from the steam inlet chamber to the mixing chamber. The mixing valve includes an internal partition between the steam inlet chamber and the water inlet chamber. The internal partition includes a thermal break that minimizes the contact between the steam inlet chamber and the water inlet chamber, thus minimizing the heat transfer therebetween.

摘要: An apparatus for heating water by steam comprises a heat exchanger having a steam chamber. Fluid conduit means directs water through the steam chamber to a hot water outlet chamber. Inlet steam conduit means delivers steam to the chamber. A piston member is located in the water outlet chamber and is movable therein in response to a demand for heated water. The piston member moves to a position in accordance with the desired demand. A blending valve arrangement is utilized in the system so as to continuously blend cold water with hot water exiting from the heat exchange chamber. The blending valve comprises a sleeve valve member which is connected with the piston member and which is movable therewith. The sleeve member has at least one opening therein which cooperates with an opening in an annular baffle in the heat exchanger to control the amount of blending which occurs in accordance with movement of the piston member. In one embodiment, steam is on the heat exchanger at all times, while in other embodiments, a steam inlet valve means located in the steam inlet conduit is controlled by movement of the piston member to apply steam to the heat exchanger only when there is a demand for heated water. In these other embodiments, the piston member is associated with a lever member which pivots upon movement of the piston member. The lever member, when it pivots, controls a valve member which directs fluid to the steam inlet valve means and causes opening of that valve means. Upon return of the piston member to its initial position after the demand for water has been terminated, the lever member is pivoted so as to operate the valve means in the steam inlet conduit to a closed condition. In all embodiments, the fluid conduit means for directing the flow of fluid through the heat exchanger is arranged so as to provide a four-pass system enabling fluid to flow four times through the heat exchange chamber before exiting from the heat exchange chamber.

摘要: A thermostatic mixing valve includes a mixing slide arranged between two seats for mixing fluids at different temperatures and capable of flowing between the mixing slide and the two seats, respectively, so as to supply a mixed fluid; and an axial thermal actuator arranged between the mixing slide and an absorption member sensitive to the temperature of the mixed fluid for creating a controlled movement of the position of the mixing slide between the two seats in order to supply the mixed fluid at a controlled temperature, where the absorption member includes one of the seats and is capable of moving in a direction that increases the distance between the seats when the mixing slide is bearing on the other seat so as to absorb an excess of axial movement of a rod of the absorption member due to excessive variation of the mixed fluid temperature.

摘要: An apparatus for controlling the temperature of a supply of water by selective injection of steam is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a water supply conduit which includes a water inlet end and a water outlet end. Steam is supplied to the apparatus by a steam supply conduit which supplies steam to the water supply conduit at a predetermined location between the water inlet end and the water outlet end of the water supply conduit. The steam entering the water supply conduit is controlled by a steam supply control valve located on the steam supply conduit. A pressure differential sensing means senses the difference in pressure along the water supply conduit between a first point in said water supply conduit, upstream of said predetermined location and a second point in the water supply conduit downstream of the predetermined location. A means for controlling the control valve means in response to this sensed pressure differential is also required.

摘要: An assembly for use in a system for heating water comprises a heat exchanger for heating cold water to produce overheated hot water and a blending chamber in which the overheated hot water is mixed with cold water to produce blended hot water. An inlet valve controls the flow of cold water to the heat exchanger. A bypass valve controls the flow of cold water into the blending chamber. A flow restrictor restricts the flow of cold water from the bypass valve into the blending chamber when the demand for blended hot water increases above a predetermined amount.
