摘要: Generating approximate usage measurements for shared cache memory systems is disclosed. In one aspect, a cache memory system is provided. The cache memory system comprises a shared cache memory system. A subset of the shared cache memory system comprises a Quality of Service identifier (QoSID) tracking tag configured to store a QoSID tracking indicator for a QoS class. The shared cache memory system further comprises a cache controller configured to receive a memory access request comprising a QoSID, and is configured to access a cache line corresponding to the memory access request. The cache controller is also configured to determine whether the QoSID of the memory access request corresponds to a cache line assigned to the QoSID. If so, the cache controller is additionally configured to update the QoSID tracking tag.

摘要: A system, method and computer-readable storage media for digital versatile disc (DVD) identification. Media content from a DVD can be accessed and a format of the media content can be identified. An identification for the media content can be determined based upon the format. A first DVD format may be identified by matching a sequence of symbols on a DVD to format data. Content stored on the DVD in a first location that is used to generate IDs for the first DVD format may be referenced, and the content hashed to generate an ID for the DVD. The first location can be identified by referencing ID processing data that also identified other locations used to generate IDs for different DVD formats. Portions of the media content that are accessed can include directory names, folder names, or file names.

摘要: An optical disk drive (ODD) including a shell and a locking module is provided. The shell includes a main body portion and a side portion, and the side portion is connected to the main body portion. A concave space is formed between a side surface of the main body portion and a top surface of the side portion. The locking module is disposed inside the concave space. The ODD is detachably held in a support frame of an electronic device through the locking module. In addition, a locking module is also provided.

摘要: A method and system for accessing a storage medium that factors in read statistics of previous reads of the storage medium is provided. An access system tracks read statistics generated from previous attempts to read data of the storage medium, which may be stored on a per-unit basis. When the access system receives a request to read data of the storage device, the access system may generate a read plan for the read based on analysis of the read statistics. A read plan may specify the initial speed of the attempt to read the data. The access system uses the read statistics to help reduce the time needed to read a unit of data from the storage medium.
