One method includes receiving, at a server, a request for proprietary data from a data consumer, the request including a data consumer identifier; retrieving, from a database of proprietary data, proprietary data based on the request; determining, by the server, whether the retrieved proprietary data is at least one of: designated to be processed and designated to have privileges set; processing, by the server, the proprietary data when the server determines the proprietary data is designated to be processed; setting one or more privileges to the proprietary data using the certificate associated with the data consumer identifier when the server determines the proprietary data is designated to have privileges set; encrypting the proprietary data using the certificate associated with the data consumer identifier; and transmitting the encrypted proprietary data to the data consumer.

摘要： The invention disclosed herein is an in-circuit security system for electronic devices. The in-circuit security system incorporates identity credential verification, secure data and instruction storage, and secure data transmission capabilities. It comprises a single semiconductor chip, and is secured using industry-established mechanisms for preventing information tampering or eavesdropping, such as the addition of oxygen reactive layers. This invention also incorporates means for establishing security settings, profiles, and responses for the in-circuit security system and enrolled individuals. The in-circuit security system can be used in a variety of electronic devices, including handheld computers, secure facility keys, vehicle operation/ignition systems, and digital rights management.

摘要： Various technologies described herein pertain to a computing device that includes secure hardware (e.g., a TPM, a secure processor of a processing platform, protected memory that includes a software-based TPM, etc.). The secure hardware includes a shared secret, which is shared by the secure hardware and a server computing system. The shared secret is provisioned by the server computing system or a provisioning computing system of a party affiliated with the server computing system. The secure hardware further includes a cryptographic engine that can execute a cryptographic algorithm using the shared secret or a key generated from the shared secret. The cryptographic engine can execute the cryptographic algorithm to perform encryption, decryption, authentication, and/or attestation.

The method also includes querying a licensing service to determine updates to the user provisioning cache if the user does not exist in the user provisioning cache or is not provisioned to use the service, or both. Further, the method includes determining whether the user is provisioned to use the service based on the updates to the user provisioning cache and, if the user is provisioned to use the service, allowing the user access to the service.

摘要： Software revalidation. In one example embodiment, a method for software revalidation may include various steps. For example, the method may include receiving, at a machine on which a software application has been installed and activated, activation rules, from an activation server, that have been updated since the release of the software application to account for new or updated software or hardware with which the software application is configured to be employed. The method may also include periodically applying, at the machine, the updated activation rules to newly-collected machine configuration information from the machine to determine whether a product key remains valid for the newly-collected machine configuration information and, if the product key remains valid for the newly-collected machine configuration information, revalidating, at the machine, the software application to authorize continued access to the software application.
