摘要： A method and apparatus for producing enhanced quality full color prints in an electrophotographic printing machine. In a electrophotographic printing machine in which multiple color separations are imaged and developed on a photoconductive member, a user selectable enhanced print mode is provided. In the enhanced print mode, each color separation is imaged and developed on the same imaging panel of the photoconductive member. This avoids a degradation in image quality due to physical variations and defects in the photoconductive member. The enhanced mode decreases machine productivity somewhat and is user selectable in situations when very high quality prints are desired.

摘要： A bi-color-image-signal generating apparatus includes a reception unit and a generating unit. The reception unit receives specification of a specified color in a case of generating a bi-color image signal from a color image signal. The bi-color image signal has color components representing two colors which are an achromatic color and a chromatic color that is the specified color. The generating unit obtains an amount of each color material which is to be used to form an image having the two colors from the color image signal on the basis of a brightness of the specified color, an amount of each color material which is necessary for image formation using the specified color, and a brightness of the color image signal, and generates the bi-color image signal from the color image signal using the obtained amount of each color material.

摘要： There are provided a printer, a digital camera with a printer, and a printing method which are capable of simply printing an image having photographic composition intended by a user. A frame layout is displayed on a monitor. Based on an operation of an operation unit, images stored in an internal memory are displayed in frames, and images to be arranged in the frames are selected. In this case, portions of the images corresponding to the frames are cut out, and the images are displayed in the frames. Based on an operation of the operation unit, the images to be arranged in the frames are adjusted by zooming and/or moving the images to be arranged in the frames within the frames. After setting of images for all the frames is completed, an image displayed on the monitor is printed according to a print instruction.
