The vibration sensor is configured to detect a vibration that is caused by a solid propagation of the sound from the speaker, and to output a reference signal based on the detected variation. The controller is configured to perform a noise suppress control which suppresses a noise due to the vibration using the reference signal.

    摘要: The disclosure is directed to techniques for noise handling in audio or video recording. Sounds that may be generated during the audio recording, such as by activation of switches, may appear as undesired artifacts in the recording. Techniques and apparatus are described whereby, when an undesired sound is generated, an inverse of the sound is applied to the sound, thereby canceling the unwanted sound from the recording. Further, the techniques can be adapted to many kinds of portable electronic devices having many kinds of switches and many kinds of undesirable sounds.

    摘要: An information processing apparatus includes a jack, a noise-canceling section, a judgment section, and a first regulation section. The jack is connectable with a plug of a headphone including a microphone, outputs a first signal to the headphone, and inputs a second signal from the microphone. The noise-canceling section generates a third signal that cancels a noise component around the headphone based on the second signal input from the jack and enables an operation of superposing the third signal on the first signal. The judgment section judges whether at least one of the first signal and the second signal exceeds a predetermined level. The first regulation section regulates an operation of the noise-canceling section when the judgment section detects that the predetermined level is exceeded.

    摘要: An active silencer for a vehicle exhaust system that has a low profile so that it can be hung underneath the vehicle in a conventional manner without altering the vehicle. The silencer has a chamber isolated from the exhaust flow in which one or more speakers are mounted side-by-side. The speakers face downwards and share a common tuning chamber within the isolated chamber. The tuning chamber is ported to a mixing chamber where the canceling acoustic waves mix with noise from the exhaust flow before the exhaust noise exits to the atmosphere.

    摘要: An active muffler for use in motor vehicles comprises a sensor, an electronic control responsive to the signal generated by the sensor for producing a drive signal delivered to a transducer which emits cancellation pulses phased 180.degree. from the sound pressure pulses passing through a conduit, where both front and rear sides of the transducer are acoustically coupled to the conduit to improve the efficiency of the transducer operation. Preferably, the acoustic coupling comprises an enclosed chamber including a port for communicating with the conduit which can be tuned to resonate at predetermined frequencies. When both sides of the transducer are so coupled to the conduit, the transducer has increased efficiency over a broad band of frequencies, and the frequency band can be broadened at the low end as required to accommodate the frequencies generated by a source of noise. A tandem transducer mounting arrangement according to the present invention reduces vibration of the housing while minimizing the mass and size of the transducers by juxtaposing or consolidating the magnet structure for a pair of transducer diaphragms. The system is particularly suitable for use in adapting noise cancellation techniques to replace or be combined with passive mufflers on motor vehicles.
