    摘要: A housing defines a fluid enclosure which contains a gear pump having a driving gear that couples for rotation by a shaft. When the shaft rotates, the gear pump forces fluid through one of two fluid passages in the housing against the force of a valve spring. A torque which remains relatively constant over a wide range of shaft speeds is thus applied to the housing, and in reaction the housing rotates to operate an electrical switch.

    摘要: A sensor for a positive or negative acceleration responsive switch for detecting an acceleration exceeding a predetermined level applied to a moving body. A bowl having a reverse conical wall at its upper peripheral surface is mounted horizontally to the moving body, and a turning coil which forms a part of an oscillator circuit is disposed at the lower portion of the bowl. Within the bowl, a conductive medium such as metallic ball or conductive liquid, e.g., mercury is placed so that it is displaced under an acceleration applied in any horizontal direction. The acceleration may be detected based on the distance of the conductive medium from the tuning coil.

    摘要: The subject invention relates to a switching device which will be activated by the sudden release of an automotive accelerator pedal. A pendulum arm is secured to the accelerator linkage and will operate when the position of the linkage is suddenly changed, but will not operate when the position is changed at a normal speed. A switch unit enclosed in a casing has a clevice type switch arm which extends through the casing to engage the pendulum arm when the accelerator pedal is released suddenly thereby to close two pairs of contacts. Three circuits are completed by the closing of the contacts through which current from a power source causes the vehicle''s stop lamp to illuminate, a signal lamp within the visual range of the vehicle driver to illuminate, and a flasher unit to energize. The flasher unit, after a predetermined period of time, conveys current to an electromagnet secured within the casing which causes the switch unit to reset, whereby the contacts are disengaged and the circuits are broken.
