Abstract: A plug connector to be connected, by plugging, to a mating plug connector, includes a contact carrier manufactured from an electrically insulating material, an electrical grounding contact arranged at the contact carrier for electrical contact with the mating plug connector, and an electrically conductive housing part connected to the contact carrier. An electrically conductive contacting element is manufactured by means of a casting technique. The electrically conductive contacting element has a first contacting portion which bears against the housing part in an electrically contacting manner, and a second contacting portion which bears against the grounding contact in an electrically contacting manner, and electrically connects the housing part to the grounding contact.

Abstract: A press-fit terminal has a press-fit portion that includes a first piece and a second piece that are formed as a result of the metal plate being split into two parts in a width direction of the metal plate by a long slit extending in a lengthwise direction of the metal plate. The first piece is curved to protrude in one direction of the thickness direction of the metal plate, and the second piece is curved to protrude in the other direction of the thickness direction of the metal plate. Each of the first piece and the second piece includes a large thickness portion that is provided at a protruding end portion and two small thickness portions that are provided on both sides in the lengthwise direction with the large thickness portion interposed between the two small thickness portions.

Abstract: A female terminal for electrical power connections of a vehicle including a contact portion configured to be coupled, along a mating direction, to a male terminal. The contact portion of the female terminal has contact blades. Each contact blade has a contact region with two contact areas, each of these two contact areas forming a protrusion with an apex at the level of which an electrical contact is made with the male terminal. Further, the apices of the protrusions of some of the contact blades are offset in the mating direction from the apices (19) of the protrusions of other contact blades. A method of manufacturing such a female terminal is also presented.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a female electrical terminal includes the steps of providing a sheet metal blank and forming the sheet metal blank to include a wiring portion for the attaching of an electrical wire and a receiving portion for the receiving of a male electrical terminal in a receiving direction. The receiving portion includes a base portion and two lateral portions. Each lateral portion including an end portion configured to form a top surface of the receiving hollow, at least one link beam linking the end portion to the base portion, and a support beam also linking the end portion to the base portion. The method includes a further step of bending the lateral portions to form the receiving hollow and an additional step of modifying, in particular, reducing, at least one dimension of the support beam.

Abstract: A coil for a transformer assembly is provided. The coil extends circumferentially around a longitudinal axis. The coil comprises a foil winding arrangement and a conductor element. The foil winding arrangement extends circumferentially around the longitudinal axis and has four edge regions. The conductor element covers at least partially at least one of the edge regions of the foil winding arrangement. The conductor element allows for a reduction in an electric field that arises during an operation of the transformer assembly at the edges of the foil winding arrangement. In this manner, a performance improvement in partial discharge tests and lightning impulse tests can be achieved.
