    摘要： A method for preparing braided coaxial cable for termination is taught wherein a segment of the cable outer jacket is defined by an annular slit, lightly clamped and axially displaced, then clamped firmly and axially displaced in a reverse sense to cause the cable braid beneath such jacket to be displaced radially outwardly. The braid so displaced is then trimmed and removed with a further segment of the cable being defined by an annular slit which for the segment is axially displaced to cover over the cut ends of the braid, leaving the coaxial cable prepared for termination.

    摘要： The automatic field cable stripper is a three-part device attachable to a hand-held power drill which is used to remove the outer insulation jacket from the end of a cable to a desired length. The three parts of the stripper are: a cylindrically shaped cutter with a plurality of annularly arranged knife edges, a cylindrically shaped cutter shield and an arbor for attaching to the drill. The dimensions of the cutter and shield are preset to match the corresponding dimensions of the inner conductor and the outer insulation jacket. A set of differently sized strippers is also contemplated.

    摘要： A wire stripping die is configured to be coupled to a crimping tool. The stripping die includes a die body, a first ridge, and a second ridge. The die body includes a first side, a second side, and a groove extending at least partially between the first side and the second side. The groove extends along an axis. The first ridge protrudes from a surface of the groove toward the axis by a first distance. The first ridge extends along at least a portion of the perimeter of the groove and extends at least partially around the axis. The second ridge protrudes from the surface of the groove toward the axis, and the second ridge extends parallel to the axis along at least a portion of the groove.
