    摘要: An apparatus and method compensate for the sensitivity of at least one line current differential element of a first current differential relay providing differential protection for a transmission line of a power system during a single-phase pole-open condition. The apparatus includes a first delta filter configured to remove a first pre-fault current from a first fault current of the transmission line to derive a compensated first current phasor. The apparatus also includes a second delta filter configured to remove a second pre-fault current from a second fault current of the transmission line to derive a compensated second current phasor. The compensated first and second current phasors are provided to the at least one line current differential element to compensate the sensitivity of the at least one line current differential element.

    摘要: In differential function calculation processing, a value of differential function f(d) is calculated using differences between a plurality of predetermined number p of differential current data Dd sampled at different sampling times. The differential current data is data obtained from differential current Id or a sum of data Dj (j=1 to n where n is the number of the respective terminal currents) obtained from respective terminal currents Ipj. In restraint data calculation processing, restraint data Dr is calculated using respective terminal current data Dj sampled at the same sampling time.     摘要: A method in a three-terminal differential protection includes measuring a terminal phase current (IT1(y), IT2(y), IT3(y)) at each terminal (T1, T2, T3) of a protected zone of the differential protection in each phase (L1, L2, L3) to be protected, and determining a bias current (Ib(y)) of the phase on the basis of the terminal phase currents (IT1(y), IT2(y), IT3(y)). The bias current determination includes subtracting phasor values of the terminal phase currents of two terminals from the phasor value of the terminal phase current of one terminal. The terminal phase current, which is a minuend in the phasor difference computation, is selected on the basis of the phase angles or amplitudes of the terminal phase currents.

    摘要: A distributed bus differential relay system has a separate differential relay element at each feeder location to trip the associated circuit breaker in response to a fault in the protected bus. The only conductors between feeders form a set of leads connecting current transformers in each of the feeders in parallel. Preferably, the current transformer in each feeder also serves as the current transformer for the associated circuit breaker and the differential relay element is incorporated into the overcurrent relay or trip unit of the circuit breaker which is implemented by a microprocessor. Compliance voltage across the cts is limited by a varistor or saturating reactor which is protected from overheating by a time delayed shorting device.

    摘要: A current differential protection arrangement for an electric power supply unit with a measured value pre-processing device and an analysis device that checks on the basis of a predefined dependence of a differential current on a stabilizing current (response characteristic curve) to determine whether the differential and stabilizing current values thus formed are in a blocking range or a triggering range, where an additional stabilization range is present in the blocking range. To avoid fixed-time blocking after an external fault with transformer saturation with such a protection arrangement, the analysis device in a stabilizing circuit contains a testing arrangement which checks the current values thus formed to determine whether they describe a point in the additional stabilization range. If this is the case, a blocking signal is produced, which activates the blocking device downstream from the testing arrangement. When a first point of the current values is subsequently detected outside the additional stabilization range, a timing element that is connected at the output to a resetting input of the blocking device is set.

    摘要: In a differential-type protective relay actuated to generate a signal necessary for the protection of a bus of an electric power system when a troubled current has flown through the bus, a gapped first transformer is used to receive an output from a current transformer which is adapted to detect each current in the bus. Each output of a first detection element, which is actuated when the output of the first transformer is higher than a preset level, is fed out to the exterior only when a value obtained by subtracting the sum of the maximum of the output of the first transformer and the value of a signal obtained by shifting the phase of the output through a predetermined angle from the value of a signal obtained by subjecting the output of the first transformer to full-wave transformation is equal to or lower than a preset value.
