    摘要: An electric motor driving apparatus having a failure detection circuit includes: a bridge circuit driving an electric motor; a PWM control circuit generating voltage instruction for driving the electric motor; a PWM signal generation circuit generating a PWM signal; a DC current detection circuit detecting DC current of the bridge circuit; a phase current calculation circuit calculating output phase current of the bridge circuit, based on the DC current and PWM signal; and a failure detection circuit detecting failure of the DC current detection circuit. The failure detection circuit determines failure of the DC current detection circuit from the DC current detected values in a zero voltage period in which the high-potential-side arms of the bridge circuit are all ON and in a zero voltage period in which the low-potential-side arms are all ON.

The electric power steering system includes: a power supply; a motor configured to generate steering auxiliary power; a safety switch provided between the power supply and the motor and configured to control supply of power; a main MCU configured to control an operation of the safety switch; and a sub MCU configured to monitor a state of the main MCU. The main MCU applies an on driving signal to the safety switch, receives front and rear stage voltages of the safety switch, and determines that the safety switch has been frozen and/or a safety switch off function of the sub MCU has failed, when there is no potential difference between the received front and rear stage voltages.

According to one example embodiment, a system includes at least one sensor including at least one conductive sensor antenna deposited on a first side of at least one layer of a printed circuit board substrate and positioned to substantially face a stator winding, and a non-conductive shield mounted to an opposing side of the printed circuit board substrate and positioned to substantially face away from the stator winding. The system further includes an alternating current power source in communication with the sensor and operable to deliver current to the conductive sensor antenna. A signal processing unit may be in communication with the sensor, operable to measure a load on the sensor antenna and to transmit vibration data to a controller responsive to the load on the sensor antenna.

    摘要: A method, a system, and an apparatus are disclosed for monitoring the operating conditions of electric generators and motors by merely taking measurements from a few locations on the rotor's outer region/surface or stator's inner surface. In this disclosure an exemplary method of detecting adverse conditions within alternating current electromotive devices, which can lead to failure, is presented. This example method uses non-contact sensing devices mounted only on a section of the rotor's or stator's surface of the electromotive device to scan the stator's or rotor's surface, respectively. This is in contrast to the customary Rotor-Mounted Scanner, which is mounted along the entire longitudinal length of the rotating part of the electromotive device. The disclosed method and apparatus will reduce cost by reducing complexity of the design, manufacturing, installation, maintenance, and replacement of the monitoring system, and by utilizing generic mounting techniques that will reduce risk of damage to the generators as the lighter weight sensor housings are secured by simpler mounting means.

Both a torque of the motor and the operating parameter are monitored. A memory stores a plurality of predetermined torque values indicative of a normal operation of the motor. A plurality of operating parameter values are also stored in the memory with each operating parameter value having a corresponding predetermined torque value associated therewith. The predetermined torque value corresponding to the monitored operating parameter is retrieved from the memory and compared to the monitored torque value to detect an abnormal operation of the motor.
