    摘要: Systems and methods associated with an HVAC system and a multi-functional ECM motor for use in the HVAC system are disclosed. The motor controller of the ECM motor includes a microprocessor, a tap detection circuit and a power source portion. The tap detection circuit is coupled to several tap input lines. The motor also includes first and second AC input wires, a common wire, a ground wire, a first jumper wire and a second jumper wire. Each tap input line is coupled to the first input terminal of one current sensing unit. The first jumper wire is coupled to the second AC input wire, and the second jumper wire is coupled to the common wire. By coupling different wires of the ECM motor differently when replacing a PSC motor than when replacing ECM motors, the ECM motor is configured to replace PSC motors and ECM motors in HVAC systems.

    摘要: To provide a brushless DC motor drive circuit operating with low electric power without a hall element, etc., and to provide a drive circuit for brushless DC motor which may be generally started regardless of an amount of load or size of inertia moment.The drive circuit comprises a two-stage amplifying circuit comprised of transistors 13 and 14 for switching and amplifying a drive current to drive coils 11; a detecting coil 15 disposed together with the drive coils in a magnetic field of permanent magnets in a rotor, and connected to a base of the transistor 14 at one end; and a diode connected in series with the other end of the detecting coil 15 and provided between the base and an emitter of the transistor 14, wherein the diode controls and adjusts a base current of the transistor 14 such that the transistor 14 is turned on when induced electromotive force generated in the detecting coil 15 is a reverse voltage, and such that the transistor 14 is turned off when the induced electromotive force of the detecting coil 15 is a forward voltage.

    摘要: A power tool is disclosed having a compact AC switch assembly. An electric motor driving the power tool is contained within a housing that includes a handle. A trigger is slidingly received in the handle and moves in an axis of trigger travel along a trigger travel distance extending between an extended position of the trigger and a depressed position. A trigger switch including a printed circuit board is disposed in mechanical communication with the trigger and controls the electric motor in accordance with trigger position. The printed circuit board has a plurality of conductive traces that are sequentially arranged and linearly aligned adjacent the trigger in a direction that is transverse to the axis of trigger travel to reduce the width of the printed circuit board to a value that is less than or equal to three times the trigger travel distance.

The motor has a main coil and a secondary coil. The motor starting capacitor is electrically connected between the main and secondary coils. The multi-stage switch includes a common contact, at least one rotation speed contact electrically connected to a second main contact of the main coil, a rotation direction contact electrically connected to a second secondary contact of the secondary coil, and a conductive member having a first conductive end electrically connected to the common contact and a second conducive end electrically connected to the rotation speed or direction contact. The motor starting capacitor cooperates with the multi-stage switch to control rotation speed and direction of the ceiling fan without requiring the use of a rotation direction switch or remoter controller.
