    摘要: The disclosure describes a charge device capable of charging electricity storage cells while eliminating a voltage variation among the electricity storage cells without a need for at least a circuit section playing a role in voltage equalization among the electricity storage cells to be designed to have a large current capacity, and describes a charge-discharge device constructed by additionally equipping a discharging function with the charge device. Provided are a charge device and a charge-discharge device each of which comprises a convertor, an input circuit, and a multi-stage voltage doubler rectifier circuit. An element in the convertor configured to be applied with a rectangular waveform voltage is connected to the multi-stage voltage doubler rectifier circuit via the input circuit to thereby realize a voltage equalization function, and an output section of the convertor is connected to the multi-stage voltage doubler rectifier circuit to thereby realize a charging-discharging function.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus relating to reducing switching noise and improving transient response in voltage regulators are described. In an embodiment, one or more pulses are inserted into an output waveform of a voltage regulator. The one or more pulses introduce multiple frequencies into the output waveform of the voltage regulator (e.g., to reduce acoustic noise). In another embodiment, the output voltage of a voltage regulator is modified in response to comparison of the output voltage with at least one of a plurality of threshold values. The plurality of threshold values includes an upper trigger point voltage value and a lower trigger point voltage value. Other embodiments are also disclosed and claimed.

    摘要: A circuitry arrangement includes two-pole connectors for connecting a battery and a further voltage source. The plus pole of one connector and the minus pole of the other connector are directly connected to a plus pole and a minus pole of a DC voltage link. The plus and minus poles of the one connector are connected via a first parallel circuit of a switch and a diode and a first choke connected in series. The minus and plus poles of the other connector are connected via a second parallel circuit of a switch and a diode and a second choke connected in series. A connection between choke ends of the two parallel circuits is electrically conductive at least for alternating currents. The two chokes are magnetically coupled in that their winding senses on a common magnetic core are equal as viewed from the connection between the two parallel circuits.

    摘要: A storageless DC-DC converter is provided having simultaneously ultra high efficiency of 99.5% in an ultra compact size leading to 1 kW/inch3 power density, while also providing a regulation over the wide input DC voltage range. In addition to fixed 2 to 1 step-down voltage conversion the continuous output voltage reduction is obtained by use of a new method of the modulation of the freewheeling time of one of the two current rectifiers. This provides a simple regulation of the output voltage via a standard duty ratio control, despite the wide range of the input voltage change and simultaneous wide range of the load current change. An alternative control method customarily used in classical resonant converters to control output voltage by change of the switching frequency with a fixed duty ratio control is also demonstrated. Because of its storageless feature and continuous output voltage regulation this converter is ideal for computer applications, such as VRM (Voltage Regulator Modules), demanding extremely fast transient response to fast load current changes and tight load voltage regulations requiring ultra low output ripple voltages.
