摘要: A transmitter includes a shift register, a lookup table, and a digital to analog converter. The shift register is configured to receive an input signal and to output delayed copies of the input signal. The lookup table is configured to store compensation values estimated based on the input signal and the delayed copies of the input signal. The digital to analog converter is configured to output a transmit signal based on the input signal and the compensation values. The compensation values are designed to mitigate distortion of the transmit signal from conversion of the input signal to a digital signal.

摘要: Aspects of the present disclosure provide signal amplification. An example method generally includes amplifying a version of a first input signal with a power amplifier in a first state where a bias voltage of the power amplifier is set to a first voltage based on a first tracking mode; obtaining a first output signal of the power amplifier in a second state where the bias voltage is set to a second voltage less than the first voltage; determining a predistortion associated with the power amplifier based at least in part on the obtained first output signal; applying the predistortion to the first input signal; and amplifying a version of the predistorted first input signal with the power amplifier in a third state where the bias voltage is set to a third voltage based on a second tracking mode, wherein the third voltage is less than the first voltage.

摘要: Systems comprising a low power Digital Predistortion (DPD) system and methods of operation thereof are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a system comprises a DPD system for digitally predistorting an input signal to provide an output signal. The DPD system comprises a DPD actuator comprising one or more configurable multiplication functions, each configurable to operate in different power modes. The different power modes comprise a first power mode in which the configurable multiplication function multiplies a first value related to an input sample of the input signal and a second value related to a respective DPD value to provide an output value and a second power mode in which the configurable multiplication function outputs, as the output value, are an approximation of a multiplication of the first value and the second value.

摘要: The present disclosure is a novel utility of a software defined radio (SDR) based Distributed Antenna System (DAS) that is field reconfigurable and support multi-modulation schemes (modulation-independent), multi-carriers, multi-frequency bands and multi-channels. The present invention enables a high degree of flexibility to manage, control, enhance, facilitate the usage and performance of a distributed wireless network such as Flexible Simulcast, automatic traffic load-balancing, network and radio resource optimization, network calibration, autonomous/assisted commissioning, carrier pooling, automatic frequency selection, frequency carrier placement, traffic monitoring, traffic tagging, pilot beacon, etc. As a result, a DAS in accordance with the present invention can increase the efficiency and traffic capacity of the operators' wireless network.

摘要: An amplifier may include control circuitry that may track a first input signal parameter and, in response, adjust a value of a second input parameter. Input parameter tracking and adjustment may facilitate control of output parameters for the amplifier. For example, an envelope-tracking amplifier may track input signal amplitude and adjust other input parameters in response. The adjustments may facilitate control of output parameters, such as gain or efficiency. The amplifier may further include calibration circuitry to determine adjustment responses to various tracked input parameters.

摘要: An efficient baseband predistortion linearization method for reducing the spectral regrowth and compensating memory effects in wideband communication systems using effective multiplexing modulation technique such as wideband code division multiple access and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing is disclosed. The present invention is based on the method of piecewise pre-equalized lookup table based predistortion, which is a cascade of a lookup table predistortion and piecewise pre-equalizers.

摘要: Resistor mismatch may be digitally compensated based on a known resistor mismatch, power supply information, and/or other operating parameters of the amplifier. The digital compensation may be applied to the digital input signal before conversion for processing and amplification in the analog domain. An amplifier with digital compensation for resistor mismatch may be used in a class-D amplifier with a closed loop and feedforward feedback. A class-D or other amplifier with digital compensation may be integrated with electronic devices such as mobile phones.

摘要: A method and a predistortion system for linearizing an output of a power amplifier include receiving a first input signal representative of an analog RF modulated signal of the predistortion system, receiving a digitized reference signal representative of an idealized reference signal, and receiving a digitized feedback signal representative of nonlinear characteristics of the power amplifier. The method further includes generating, using a lookup table, a predistortion correction signal based on an error between the digitized reference signal and the digitized feedback signal. The first input signal and the predistortion correction signal are combined to produce a predistortion signal that is supplied to the power amplifier to linearize the output of the power amplifier.

摘要: A distortion compensation device includes a distortion compensation unit, a feedback coefficient calculating unit, a clip processing unit, and an updating unit. The distortion compensation unit generates a distortion compensation signal from a transmission signal by using a distortion compensation coefficient and inputs the generated distortion compensation signal to a power amplifier. The feedback coefficient calculating unit calculates a feedback coefficient based on an output signal from the power amplifier. The clip processing unit outputs the feedback coefficient when absolute value of the feedback coefficient is less than a threshold. Furthermore, the clip processing unit outputs a feedback coefficient of which absolute value is less than the threshold when the absolute value of the feedback coefficient is greater than the threshold. The updating unit updates the distortion compensation coefficient by using an error between the transmission signal and the output signal, a predetermined step coefficient, and the feedback coefficient.

摘要: An analog predistorter (APD) core module including a radio frequency delay module, an envelope module, and a contact matrix module. The radio frequency delay module is configured to receive a feed-forward radio frequency signal, generate multiple radio frequency delay signals with different delays according to the feed-forward radio frequency signal, and output each radio frequency delay signal to the contact matrix module. The envelope module is configured to receive the feed-forward radio frequency signal, perform envelope detection on the feed-forward radio frequency signal to obtain multiple envelope signals with different delays, and output each envelope signal to the contact matrix module. The contact matrix module is configured to receive each radio frequency delay signal, each envelope signal, and a predistortion coefficient from an exterior source, and generate a predistortion signal according to the predistortion coefficient, each radio frequency delay signal, and each envelope signal.
