    摘要: A stereophonic separation can be adjusted without narrowing the dynamic range. Between the sources of a MOS transistor (Q5), to which a composite signal is inputted, and a MOS transistor (Q6), to which a reference voltage is inputted, there are connected in parallel the series connections of resistors and switch elements (R1) and (SW1), (R2) and (SW2), (R3) and (SW3), and so on. The separation level can be so adjusted in DC operations that the resistors (R1 to R5) may exert no influence on the output voltage of the MOS transistor (Q5), and in AC operations that the values of the parallel resistors (R1 to R5) may be varied.

To maximize stereo channel separation the arrangement is provided with an automatic gain control loop comprising a first mixer stage receiving a reference signal, a signal output thereof being coupled to a second mixer stage, both mixer stages having carrier inputs being supplied with said local sinusoidal sub-carrier for a respective up and down conversion of said reference signal, a signal output of said second mixer stage being coupled through a 6 dB attenuator to a difference circuit providing the difference between the output signal of the attenuator and the reference signal, said difference circuit being coupled to a control input of gain controlled amplifying means for varying the gain of said synchronous demodulator and said first and second mixer stages.

    摘要: An FM receiver in which the length of the signal path is significantly shortened and in which separation between right and left channels is implemented by adjusting a DC bias voltage. A pulse train signal having a frequency dependent upon the instantaneous frequency of the received FM signal is generated. Subcarrier signals in and out of phase with a pilot signal component in the pulse train signal are produced and a variable DC component is added thereto. The subcarrier signals including the DC component are multiplied to obtain pulse train signals. The pulse train signals are integrated to yield right and left stereophonic channel signals.

The decorrelation module applies a higher decorrelation rate for a smaller reception quality coefficient “alpha” and applies a lower decorrelation rate for a larger reception quality coefficient “alpha. Also, a module for generating high-pitched sounds to recreate the high-frequency component (SHF) of the right or left sound signals which has been removed in the event of poor reception.

After the received signal has been downconverted to the baseband, the baseband signal is split up into a first baseband signal for a first signal path and a second baseband signal for a second signal path. The first baseband signal is highpass filtered and forwarded to a frequency synchronization unit that generates a frequency synchronization carrier. The second baseband signal is modified in accordance with the frequency synchronization carrier provided by the first signal path, and a synchronized baseband signal is obtained that still comprises the full range of the RDS signal's spectral components.
