The receiver determines received signal-space points from a received signal. The individual transmitted and received signal-space points provide in each case a smaller spacing distance from adjacent signal-space points than from the origin of the signal space.

    摘要: A technique of frequency hopping communication capable of high-speed switching of a plurality of signals having ultra-wide band 528 MHz bandwidth at high-speed and setting and switching a band center frequency and the number of bands arbitrary is provided. A radio transceiver has a frequency hopping communication function of UWB system for switching the ultra wide band signal. In the device, high-speed frequency hopping is realized by controlling an SSB mixer in a local oscillator circuit and switching the frequency of a DDS. The device sets NCO data to the DDS and switches a quadrature phase signal of an output, and switches a signal input of an input terminal of the SSB mixer by a control of a phase switching switch. One of a sum component and a difference component of a mixture of first and second quadrature phase signals is outputted from the output terminal of the SSB mixer.

    摘要: A demodulation circuit can perform a capturing operation although a frequency error is large. A phase comparator out puts a predetermined value other than 0 as a determination result of a phase error when a phase error of a carrier wave is large and a signal point is located at a predetermined position. A loop filter outputs a negative minimum value to an integrator when an integrated value of a determination result reaches a positive maximum value of a limiter. Thus, when a phase error is large, a value changing from a negative minimum value to a positive maximum value is output from the loop filter, thereby realizing a broad synchronous capture range.

    摘要: A programmable modulator (100) is programmable to operate in either of a GMSK or 8PSK mode. When operating in a GMSK mode, a signal modulating circuit 105 receives (210) a bit stream (110), maps the bit stream (110) to a phase value in complex I, Q form and applies a progressive rotation to the phase value according to GMSK specifications. The output (140) is filtered by a filter circuit (135), preferably using a complex Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filter using the standard coefficients for an 8PSK modulation to create (215) an approximate GMSK output (165). A GMSK correction circuit (150) determines a correction term that is added to the filter circuit output (165) so as to correct amplitude variations to allow the output to conform to GSM/EDGE standards. The same modulator (100) may be programmed to operate in an 8PSK mode with linear predistortion.
