One example method may include determining a call event type occurring during a call and assigning a weight to the call event type via a processing device. The method may also include calculating a caller experience metric value representing a caller's current call status responsive to determining the at least one call event type, the caller experience metric being a function of the current event type weight and a discounting variable that discounts a value of past events. The method may also provide comparing the caller experience metric to a predefined threshold value and determining whether to perform at least one of transferring the call to a live agent and switching from a current caller modality to a different caller modality.

摘要： Implementations relate to selection of networks for voice call transmission. In some implementations, a method includes determining a voice call for communication between a sending device initiating the voice call and a receiving device and determining one or more first characteristics of the voice call. The method selects, based on the first characteristics, one of a phone network and a data network to use to route data of the voice call from the sending device to an intermediary server on the data network. The method causes the data of the voice call to be sent to the intermediary server over the selected network. The data of the voice call is sent from the intermediary server to the receiving device on one of the phone network and the data network chosen by the intermediary server based on one or more second characteristics of the call.

摘要： System and methods for providing telecommunication functions on a mobile device are disclosed. An inbound call request is received, a call control interface is presented for a user to choose among a plurality of communication modes by which an inbound call is to be established. Call control data selecting a mode of communication is received through the call control interface. Communication is established according to the selected mode of communication. An outbound call request identifying a callee device is send from a mobile device through a packet network to a telecommunication service provider, and a call connection from the mobile device to the telecommunication service provider is established through the telecom network. The telecommunication service provider places a call to the callee device and combines the call connection from the mobile device to the connection to the callee device to establish a single joint call connection.

In a negotiation phase users agree on which media to use in a multimedia session and select the most appropriate types of terminal devices that support the selected media. Each terminal device is connected to one of a plurality of interworking communications networks. A network node (130) that is reached through any of the plurality of interworking networks manages creation and supervision of sub-sessions involving the selected terminal devices such that each type of terminal device carry at least one selected media. A versatile and media rich communication is obtained in which terminal devices currently available at a local environment are efficiently used.

摘要： A personal mobility system determines a terminal address corresponding to a called user based upon a personal identifier of the called user. The personal mobility system operates in conjunction with a plurality of heterogeneous networks to provide the terminal address corresponding to the called user, independent of the particular network within which the called user currently operates. The personal mobility system includes a personal mobility user application and a personal mobility server application. The personal mobility user application receives a request from a calling user, the request including the personal identifier of a called user. The personal mobility server application couples to the personal mobility user application and includes a plurality of user records. Each user record is respective to a user and is indexed by a respective personal identifier. Further, each user record includes a plurality of terminal records with each of the terminal records including a respective terminal address. The personal mobility server application accesses the user record for the called user based upon the personal identifier, selects a terminal record of the plurality of terminal records based upon the personal identifier, and returns a respective terminal address to the personal mobility user application. The user record may also include a network usage profile and a user profile for the user which are both employed in selecting the terminal identifier.
