    摘要： Apparatuses, systems, and processes are discussed for using metadata to take action on an SMS message on a proprietary system. In some embodiments, a wearable electronic device has a wearable device application that can present an SMS notification from an SMS application of a mobile computing device. The wearable device application can provide SMS notification data to a partner application of the mobile computing device. The partner application can perform a reverse look-up in a contacts application of the mobile computing device and construct a first contacts list with potential SMS-message senders. The wearable device application can present one or more SMS-message actions to a user of the wearable electronic device for a user selection thereof. The partner application can communicate with a partner server, which, in turn, can communicate with an SMS provider to effect the user selection of the one or more SMS-message actions.

The invention includes receiving, at a wireless device, a calling party phone number to be communicated by the wireless device, determining that the calling party phone number and a corresponding caller identification are not stored on the wireless device memory, performing, in response to the determination that the calling party phone number and the corresponding caller identification are not stored on the wireless device memory, an external database search for the calling party phone number and corresponding caller identification, and determining that the calling party phone number and corresponding caller identification have been identified in the external database search. The invention further includes communicating, in response to the determination that the calling party phone number and corresponding caller identification have been identified in the external database search, the calling party phone number and caller identification.

A caller can access a directory assistance call center to request phone listing information about a particular party. Moreover, if the requested information is not found, then the directory assistance call center can send a query to a LIDB or CNAM database provider. The LIDB or CNAM database provider can forward the query to a local LIDB or CNAM database and to other remote LIDB or CNAM database providers to find the requested information.
