    摘要： This disclosure details the implementation of methods, systems and computer program products for enhanced call screening (hereinafter, “ECS”). ECS systems implement a live call screening application whereby users may hear voicemail messages in real time as they are being recorded, decide whether or not they wish to talk to the caller leaving the message, and engage the caller in two-way communications by indicating interest in doing so. In one embodiment, a method is disclosed, comprising: receiving a voicemail recording phase indicator, wherein the voicemail recording phase indicator indicates initiation of a recording phase for an incoming voice message by a voicemail server; establishing a communicative connection between the voicemail server and a call recipient device in response to the voicemail recording phase indicator; instructing transmission of a data stream from the voicemail server to the call recipient device via the communicative connection, the data stream comprising the incoming voice message in real-time recording progress.

    摘要： A system and method are disclosed for a user to monitor and/or override a forwarded call. Typically, the forwarded call was initially an incoming call from a caller to the user and thereafter forwarded to a remote service system, such as a remote messaging system. The system and method determine a redirecting number from which the incoming call was forwarded. The system and method then initiates a second call to the user and a voice path is established connecting the forwarded call to the second call. Thereafter, the user is notified, for example, with a distinct ring at the user's telephone, of the option that the user may monitor and override the forwarded call. The system and method can also execute procedures to actuate the options elected by the user.

In response to the user indicating a desire to screen the call, an incoming media stream from the incoming call may be forked so that the message is being recorded while the user is listening to the message at the user communication device.

    摘要： In one embodiment, techniques allow a callee to listen to a caller leaving a voicemail message on a voicemail system. An applications oriented network (AON) device is configured to detect a connection to a voicemail system when a caller calls a callee. A notification message is then sent to the callee that indicates a voicemail message is being left. The callee is presented options in which the callee can decide to listen to the voicemail message in real time as it is being left by the caller. Also, the callee may answer the call from the caller as the voicemail message is being left. The applications oriented network device receives a response indicating whether the callee wants to listen to the voicemail message or not. If the callee wants to listen to the voicemail message, the applications oriented network device sends a copy of the voicemail message being left by the caller as it is being received from the caller.

When an incoming communication directed to a subscriber's simultaneous ring number is received, outgoing communications are placed to each of the telecommunications units associated with the subscriber's simultaneous ring number. If the incoming communication should be routed to the voice mail system and the call monitoring service is activated, a communication between the calling party and the voice mail system is established. A determination is made as to whether a user of one of the telecommunications units takes an action to connect to the communication between the calling party and the voice mail system. If an action is detected, then a communication between the calling party, the voice mail system, and the telecommunications unit is established.
