Example embodiments provide a Enhanced Telecommunications System ETS, which provides less expensive calling and other services by initiating telephone requests using data request packets. In one embodiment, the ETS comprises a client communications device with client code, an ETS portal, an API server, one or more PABX servers, and various billing, payment, and accounting systems. Other systems, such as quality assurance and logging systems may also be available. These components cooperate to provide various telecommunications services. Advantageously, therefore, in public call treatment mode, the owner of the private party phone need not police third party use of the phone and will not be billed for such third party use. The owner may resume private call treatment when desired by converting the device from public mode to private mode.

The invention further proposes a service composition entity for correlating the plurality of service instances, and a service supervision system for monitoring, supervising or controlling the composite service instance.

摘要： A system and method are described for providing least-cost call routing for mobile wireless devices having access to voice-over-IP (VoIP) infrastructure, such as may be operated by an enterprise having global presence. Using a local wireless connection, such as a wireless local area network (WLAN), a software agent on the mobile wireless device registers with a common, enterprise-wide registrar, which, in turn, informs a VoIP gateway in the device's home region of the device's new location. The home region VoIP gateway will then re-route incoming calls for the device to a VoIP gateway serving the region in which the device is currently located. The local VoIP gateway will then route the call to the device via the WLAN. Seamless routing occurs even when the wireless device obtains a local phone number in a foreign network. Outgoing calls from the device can be routed via the VoIP infrastructure or the foreign network based on availability of service and/or cost.

摘要： A system routes local toll-free communications to a toll-free communications address via local switches and/or local network onto interconnecting local providers with local access settlement rates, thereby allowing a local rather than toll cost structure of the communication. When an originating communications address is identified as an LCA, intraLATA, or otherwise local communications address, the system routes the local toll-free call from the network to participating local switches that service the subscriber's terminating communications. According to exemplary embodiments, the originating communications are separated between the LCA and the rest of the LATA based upon the NPA-NXXs that are considered local to the subscriber's terminating number. The system also provides for communicating and routing local toll free communications and for reporting each local toll free communication to the subscriber.
