    摘要: Dual or multi-modulation display systems comprising a first modulator and a second modulator are disclosed. The first modulator may comprise a plurality of analog mirrors (e.g. MEMS array) and the second modulator may comprise a plurality of mirrors (e.g., DMD array). The display system may further comprise a controller that sends control signals to the first and second modulator. The display system may render highlight features within a projected image by affecting a time multiplexing scheme. In one embodiment, the first modulator may be switched on a sub-frame basis such that a desired proportion of the available light may be focused or directed onto the second modulator to form the highlight feature on a sub-frame rendering basis.

    摘要: One embodiment of the invention discloses projector circuit boards comprising an image receiving terminal, a central processing unit, a motor driving module, a DMD and a DMD control module. The image receiving terminal receives an image signal and transmits the received image signal to the central processing unit. The central processing unit processes the received image signal. The motor driving module drives a motor on the basis of the processed image signal to rotate a color wheel to generate a colored beam. The DMD, comprising a plurality of micro-mirrors, is used in reflecting the colored beam, transforming the colored beam into an image beam, and transmitting the image beam to a projection lens to project an image. The rotation angles of the micro-mirrors are controlled by the DMD control module coupled between the central processing unit and the DMD. The projector circuit board is perpendicular to a light path of the projection lens.

The geometry correction module includes a receiver and a geometry corrector. The receiver collects an input pixels grid that represents an input image. The geometry corrector generates an output pixels grid representing an output image that compensates for the geometry of the projection surface by repositioning image data interpolated from at least two input pixels. The output image represents an altered input image that when projected onto the projection surface will display a correctly proportioned input image. A method of correcting geometry distortion when projecting an image is also provided.

The rotation angles of the micro-mirrors are controlled by the DMD control module coupled between the central processing unit and the DMD. The projector circuit board is perpendicular to a light path of the projection lens.

The series of control words further includes a sequence of control words of a least number of bits to a maximum number of bits of a least number of bits to a maximum number of bits with a time gap between each of the control words. The oscillating signal may be inserted optionally into a gap between the control words, into every control word, into a control word of the MSB, or into a control word of the LSB, In a preferred embodiment, the oscillating signal is applied to dispose the reflecting element at an intermediate state with a zero degree relative to an incident light.
