Abstract:
A communication control device includes a communication unit, an acquiring unit, and an adjusting unit. The communication unit transfers first image data acquired from a first processing unit to an external controller of a system, receives second image data transferred from the external controller during an interval between pieces of the first image data transferred in predetermined units, and transfers the received second image data to a second processing unit. The system includes the communication control device and the external controller connected to the communication control device by a half-duplex communication line. The acquiring unit acquires a length of a transfer period for transferring the second image data. The adjusting unit adjusts timing of acquiring the first image data in accordance with the length of the transfer period acquired by the acquiring unit.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are systems and methods related to data communication. A method includes consulting a database for information relating to the performance history of one or more facsimile transmitting devices. The database includes a performance score for one or more facsimile transmitting devices, and the performance score reflects the success or failure of a transmission of a data communication for an individual one of one or more facsimile transmitting device. The method further includes using the performance score to select an individual facsimile transmitting device from the one or more facsimile transmitting devices and attempting to transmit the data communication using the selected individual facsimile transmitting device.
Abstract:
After the user purchased an information apparatus, even when he turns on a power source without setting a line and automatic line identification fails, a demonstration mode is not started, and when the information apparatus exists in a shop, the demonstration mode can be certainly started by the minimum number of steps. The information apparatus has: a communicating situation identifying unit for identifying a communicating situation of the information apparatus; a display unit for displaying the demonstration mode and an electronic key for promoting sales of the information apparatus; an operation unit for selecting the electronic key; and a control unit for identifying the communicating situation when the power source is turned on, starting a regular mode in which the information apparatus is normally used when the identification of the communicating situation succeeds, and displaying a demonstration mode selection display screen to select start-up of the demonstration mode when the identification of the communicating situation fails.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a method for switching service process and a media server, wherein the method for switching the service process comprises: after a first service process performed together with a facsimile terminal is completed, and when a message, which is sent by an application server and which indicates to carry out a second service process, is received by a media server, the media server switching from the first service process to the second service process; and the facsimile terminal switching from the first service process to the second service process. Therefore, the switching of the facsimile is not limited by the switching control requirements of the media gateway, which is favorable for flexible expansion and interconnection of the facsimile services.
Abstract:
A self-contained wireless camera (10) and a wireless camera system (25) having such a device and a base station (20). Video processing circuitry (200, 210) of the camera device receives video signals from a camera (130) and provides processed video signals. A radio receiver (101) receives processed video signals from the base station or another camera device. Images from the camera or the base station are displayed in a selected manner on a display or monitor (140). The base station device (20) receives processed video signals, stores them and retransmits them. A command signal is received by the radio receiver to modify operation in such a manner as to control bandwidth usage. Wireless camera devices can adjust their operation to accommodate other wireless camera devices. Different transport protocol modules 230 and 240 can be selected according to the application that the user selects for operation.
Abstract:
A scanning apparatus, a network scanning system and a network scanning method thereof, the network scanning method of the scanning apparatus that is connected to a host apparatus including: receiving inherent information with respect to the host apparatus that is a transmission target of a scan image of a scanned item; searching for one or more scanning protocols supported by the host apparatus by using the received inherent information; and displaying the one or more supported scanning protocols found in the searching. Thus, an error in a network scanning setting may be reduced, and user convenience may be improved.
Abstract:
There is provided with a method performed in an image transmission apparatus capable of executing first communication and second communication whose communication speed is lower than that of the first communication with a display apparatus, including: generating an image to be displayed on the display apparatus; detecting whether the first communication is executable or not; transmitting the generated image to the display apparatus via the first communication when the first communication is executable; transmitting a compressed image obtained by compressing the generated image to the display apparatus via the second communication when the first communication is not executable; and transmitting compression utilization information required to display the compressed image on the display apparatus to the display apparatus via at least one of the first communication and the second communication when the first communication is executable.
Abstract:
A communication device includes a communication unit that carries out communications via a plurality communication channels and a plurality of communication protocols and a storage unit storing ability management information that registers a plurality of groups of specifying information for specifying another communication device, a communication channel and a communication protocol used by the other communication device, and identification information used in the communication channel and the communication protocol. The communication device also includes a controller for selecting the communication channel, the communication protocol, and the identification information corresponding to the specifying information of a receiving communication device, from registered information within an ability management table, and for carrying out the communication by the communication unit.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an Internet FAX apparatus which, after receiving an Internet address from a certain destination, can communicate with the same destination in later transmission or during communication by connecting to a LAN and switching to an Internet FAX mode requiring no communication charge. An Internet facsimile apparatus on the receiving side transmits its Internet facsimile function and Internet address on an NSF signal in a standard protocol of G3 facsimile transmission and/or transmits its telephone number, Internet facsimile function, and Internet address on TSI and NSS signals in the standard protocol of G3 facsimile communication. The Internet facsimile apparatus registers an Internet facsimile function and Internet address of a partner apparatus as destination data. The Internet facsimile apparatus communicates with the partner apparatus by using the Internet address in the destination data in later transmission or by disconnecting ordinary facsimile mode communication and switching to the Internet FAX mode.
Abstract:
A communications terminal is connected to at least one of a telephone line and a local area network and includes a first memory, a second memory, a detector, and an indicating mechanism. The first memory stores service information including availability information representing availability of a specific communications service provided by a service provider through at least one of the telephone line and the local area network and condition information suitable to the specific communications service. The second memory stores message information indicating that the specific communications service is not usable. The detector is configured to detect whether the service information stored in the first memory is appropriate each time the communications terminal starts a call connection operation to use the specific communications service based on the condition information. The indicating mechanism is configured to read the first memory and to indicate the message information indicating that the specific communications service is not usable when the detector detects that the service information stored in the first memory is inappropriate.
