    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support a scheduling request configuration. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication receiving a first transmission configuration indicator for one or more transmissions associated with a communication session. The first transmission configuration indicator indicates a first configuration for a first set of transmissions. The first configuration includes a first periodicity of a first available transmission time for the first set of transmissions. The first transmission configuration indicator further indicates a first repetition interval for the first available transmission time. The method also includes initiating at least one transmission of the first set of transmissions based on the first transmission configuration indicator. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support mechanisms for configuring an uplink relay for wireless powered IoT operations in a wireless communication system. A base station transmits a power signal to wireless powered IoT devices. The wireless powered IoT devices harvest energy from the power signal to power their reception/transmission circuitry. The base station transmits an information signal to trigger the wireless powered IoT devices to reflect a backscatter transmission. The wireless powered IoT devices transmit a backscatter transmission in response to receiving the information signal from the base station. The base station transmits configurations to a UE including configuration information respectively corresponding to the wireless powered IoT devices, and include information that the UE may use to detect the backscatter transmissions from the wireless powered IoT devices and relay them to the base station based on the configurations.

    Abstract: A base station is configured to perform a method for communicating with a plurality of user device (UD) multi-user multi-input multi-output (MU-MIMO) wireless system. The method includes receiving an indication of a selected beam from each of at least two UDs; determining, based on the indication of selected beam, a selected beam for each of the at least two UDs; generating a virtual UD for each combination of each selected beam; estimating a data rate for each virtual UD corresponding to the selected beam and the UD that selects the selected beam; estimating a power gradient for each selected beam; determining a power for each of the selected beams based on the power gradient for each of the selected beams; and scheduling outgoing radio frequency transmissions.
