摘要： A fixed or adjustable chain guide includes a captured shoulder bolt fastener. An adjustable chain guide such as a chain tensioner arm assembly includes a tensioner arm with a pivot bore defined about a pivot axis. The pivot bore includes an inner end opening through a rear face of the tensioner arm and an outer end opening through a front face of the tensioner arm. The tensioner arm further includes at least one resilient fastener retaining tab located adjacent the pivot bore. The shoulder bolt extends through the pivot bore and is engaged by the at least one resilient fastener retaining tab, and the at least one fastener retaining tab inhibits separation of the fastener from the tensioner arm. The fastener preferably includes an annular groove or other recess to be engaged by the one or more fastener retaining tabs in order to permit the tensioner arm to rotate relative to the fastener. New shoulder bolt fasteners are also defined, each including a shoulder region having at least one retaining feature such as an annular groove adapted to be engaged by a projecting portion of an associated component for axially capturing the fastener to the associated component while permitting rotation of the associated component relative to the fastener.

摘要： A fastening clamp for connecting a carrier part (13) and an add-on part (14) has a plug-through leg (1), with a plug-through sleeve (5), and a threaded leg (2), which is connected to a thread unit (10). The plug-through sleeve (5) extends away from the threaded leg (2) and has an effective overall height which is greater than the thickness of an add-on part (14). Engagement elements (11) are present on that side of the thread leg (2) which is directed towards the plug-through leg (1). In a pre-assembly arrangement, the legs (1, 2) are spaced apart by a distance which is large enough to allow a carrier part (13) to be positioned between the legs (1, 2) such that it is essentially free of engagement with the engagement elements (11), in which case, once a screw has been screwed into an end position, the engagement elements (11) thus engage with the carrier part (13) such that the fastening clamp is connected in a non-displaceable manner to the carrier part (13). This achieves a certain degree of positioning freedom on the carrier part (13) and, for tolerance-compensating purposes, movement of the add-on part (14).

At least a portion of each angled tab may be disposed directly below the aperture. The tabs may be elastic below a preset load placed on the tabs, and the tabs may deform and lose their elasticity above the preset load.

摘要： A method of attaching a housing (such as a security system device housing) to a wall. A housing is provided with at least one mounting portion that has a mounting hole surrounded by a substantially thin lip. The housing is held by the installer in the exact desired position on the wall. The installer the inserts a wall anchor through the mounting portion and into the wall, typically with a screwdriver. The wall anchor has a cylindrical body with a flanged end and an insertion end, with the body having an exterior thread disposed thereon and the insertion end having a generally flat pointed extension of the body. The flanged end of the anchor has a recess suitable for insertion of the screwdriver. The installer inserts the anchor by pushing the extension through the mounting hole of the mounting portion and into the wall with the screwdriver engaged in the recess such that the extension is substantially within the wall. The installer then turns the wall anchor with the screwdriver tip inserted within the recess such that the exterior thread engages the drywall and draws the wall anchor into the wall until the flanged end overlaps the lip of the mounting portion and presses the lip against the surface of the wall. By making the lip tapered to mate with the taper of the flanged end of the anchor, the head of the anchor may be flush with the surface of the housing, although this is not required.
