    摘要: A chuck apparatus is operative to center and lock an aluminum wheel in a lathe having a machining centerline. The chuck includes a face plate adapted for rotation about the centerline, and first, second and third radial slide blocks slidably movable perpendicularly with respect to the centerline and adapted to receive locators. First, second and third clamps are equally spaced about the periphery of the face plate and are adapted for applying a clamping force to the aluminum wheel in a direction parallel to the centerline. The slide blocks are actuated independently of the clamps to facilitate centering of the wheel prior to clamping. The slide blocks are selectively movable in a first direction radially outward from the centerline for causing the locators to engage the wheel and a second direction radially inward to cause the locators to engage the wheel.

    摘要: For selective outside or inside chucking of a workpiece on a lathe use is made of a base unit split to provide a set of three or more holding segments capable of being either contracted for grasping the exterior of a workpiece or spread for grasping the interior of a workpiece. There is a set of jaws complementary with respect to the segments and designed to accommodate a workpiece of selected size. Each individual jaw in turn is mounted on one of the holding segments with an attachment permitting removal of the jaw for replacement with one of the jaws of a different set for holding a workpiece of different size.

    摘要: A workpiece chuck has a plurality of support blocks adapted to be mounted on the front face of the chuck body in circumferentially spaced relation and at various locations spaced radially different distances from the central axis of the chuck. Within each support block a jaw rod is arranged for sliding movement along an axis inclined at an acute angle to the central axis of the chuck. A coupling interconnects the inner end of each jaw rod with an axially displaceable puller plate within the chuck body. The front plate of the chuck and the puller plate are formed with registering, radially elongated openings to permit radial adjustment of the jaw rods and to enable them to be retracted outwardly from the chuck body together with their support blocks.

    摘要: A saw blade clamping arrangement for a power tool includes a clamp support, a biasing member and an actuation member. The clamp support is interconnected with the drive shaft for reciprocating motion with the drive shaft relative to a housing of the power tool. The clamp support is configured to selectively receive a saw blade of the power tool in various orientations. A release lever is carried by the housing and is manually rotated to move a control member between a first position in which the saw blade is coupled to the drive shaft and a second position in which the saw blade may be displaced from the drive shaft. In at least one of the orientations, the saw blade is positioned offset from the drive shaft and proximate one of the side walls of the tool housing to allow for flush cutting of a work piece.

    摘要: A device for clamping a workpiece has a base body rotatable together with a spindle of a machine tool. The base body has a hollow portion defining a space. A piston is mounted in the space so as to be movable back and forth by fluid supplied through passages communicating with chambers defined on both sides of the piston, respectively. A diaphragm is provided over a front portion of the base body with a predetermined gap left therebetween. A peripheral portion of the diaphragm is secured to the base body, while a central portion of the diaphragm engages the piston. A plurality of clamping jaws are provided on the front surface of the diaphragm.
