    摘要: A turbine engine blade removal apparatus with a pair of opposed outwardly biased blocks are positioned proximal a blade root and corresponding rotor disc slot between opposed axial faces of the subject first rotor disc and an adjoining second rotor disc. The blocks are outwardly biased in abutting contact with first and second rotor disc axial faces, aligning an aperture of a guide bushing with an exposed axial face of the blade root, the guide bushing coupled to at least the first block. A punch is inserted in the guide bushing aperture so that a punch tip is in abutting relationship with the blade root axial face. An impact tool drives an opposite impact end of the punch, causing the punch to direct a relative driving force on the blade root, separating the blade root from the corresponding rotor disc slot.

    摘要: A bearing adjuster is comprised of a grip, an adjusting member, a fixing member and three movable members. The adjusting member is disposed on a protrusion of the grip. The fixing member is disposed on the adjusting member. The movable members are disposed on the fixing member correspondingly. A threaded rod of the grip is screwed in a threaded hole of a positioning protrusion of the fixing member. A sliding block of each movable member and positioning guide blocks of the sliding block are disposed in one of sliding grooves of the fixing member and positioning guide grooves of the sliding groove respectively. A guide protrusion of the movable member is disposed in one of corresponding grooves of the adjusting member. Thus, the bearing adjuster is able to adjust its' diameter to coordinate with different sizes of the bearings.

    摘要: An engine assembly includes an engine structure, a camshaft supported on the engine structure, a first cam phaser coupled to a first axial end of the camshaft, and a locating pin. The camshaft includes a first shaft, a second shaft, a first cam lobe and a second cam lobe. The first shaft defines a first opening. The second shaft is supported within the first shaft and defines a second opening. The first cam lobe is located on and fixed for rotation with the first shaft. The second cam lobe may be located on the first shaft and fixed for rotation with the second shaft. During assembly, the first cam phaser is located on the camshaft and the locating pin may be inserted through the first and second openings to rotationally fix the first and second shafts. The first cam phaser is then secured to the camshaft.

The blind fastener includes, but is not limited to a body situated in the holes provided in the joined parts, with a head at each end thereof, and portions of which protrude above the level of the holes. An insertion device is configured to restrain the remainder of the fastener in the hole, which has an elongated body having a diameter smaller than or equal to that of the hole and an expandable head at one end thereof The insertion device for restraining the remainder of the fastener being immobilised or capable of only limited movement relative to the joined parts, and expelling the remainder of the fastener from the holes.

    摘要: A tool for removing a spindle and/or elastomeric bearing from a hub generally includes a coupler, an arm, and a weight slidably engaged with the arm. The weight is slidable with respect to the arm along a predetermined stroke that limits the travel of the weight. The coupler may be secured to a spindle, which spindle is in turn secured to a bearing, or the coupler may be secured directly to the bearing. An operator may slide the weight between a first position adjacent the coupler and a second position opposite the coupler to impart kinetic energy to the spindle and/or bearing, thereby removing the bearing from or the bearing installing into a hub, depending on whether the kinetic energy is in an inboard or outboard direction.

The tool has an elongated body with the majority portion of the ends being angled and the remaining portion chamfered. A handle extends from the body and on the opposing side is a pin removal bar at right angles to the body which has a sufficient length to extend beyond the teeth. Preferably the pin removal bar is offset from the center of the body to position the pin removal bar proximate the tooth adjacent to the pin to be removed. A removal pin is affixed to the distal end of the pin removal bar and has a length slightly less than a distance between teeth.

    摘要: A universal tool for installing annular parts, components, or devices such as tapered and non-tapered bearings on shafts includes a cap, a tube, and cooperating interchangeable force distributors. A first interchangeable tapered force distributor attaches to the tube and includes a tapered or beveled edge allowing for proper visual alignment with, and isolated force distribution on, the inner race of a tapered bearing. A second interchangeable non-tapered force distributor also attaches to the tube and includes an annular flange with a substantially flat surface that cooperates with the inner and outer races of the ball bearing such that force applied to the cap of the universal tool is evenly distributed around the inner and outer races of the ball bearing. A connector piece can be used to connect two tubes in order to accommodate longer shafts. For a press-through design, a modified cap comprising an external non-tapered force distributor can be substituted when a machine press is used to install the bearing on the shaft. The non-tapered force distributor allows the shaft to extend therethrough and supports the universal tool when it is inverted and secured to the machine press.
