    摘要： A fastener for removably securing a protective panel to a structure includes a shaft having a first portion and a second portion. The shaft includes a first opening extending through the second portion of the shaft. The fastener also includes a sleeve sized to fit over the second portion of the shaft. The sleeve includes second and third openings extending through the sleeve that are spaced apart by a distance greater than a thickness of the protective panel to be secured to the structure. The second opening corresponds to the first opening in the shaft and the third opening is located in the sleeve beyond an end of the second portion of the shaft when the first and second openings are aligned. The fastener also includes a first pin that is insertable into the first and second openings and a second pin that is insertable into the third opening.

    摘要： A pipe connector comprising a contour fitting washer, a contour fitting nut, and a bolt is used to connect tubular members of a structure having a modular tubular framework. The pipe connector connects interfitting tubular members wherein one tubular member has an outer diameter approximating the inner diameter of a second tubular member. Each tubular member has a pair of diametrically opposed holes. When the pipe connector is completely assembled, the head of the bolt resides within a centrally disposed recess formed in the washer, and the nut is flush with the exterior of the tubular member. The pipe connector of the present invention is durable, strong, convenient to assemble, neat, and safety oriented.

    摘要： A string trimmer having a knock-down construction which enables the trimmer to be shipped in a partially disassembled condition and quickly assembled by an end user without the need for special tools and without the need for a large plurality of assembly steps. The string trimmer has a handle assembly having a coupling neck protruding therefrom and a base portion having a coupling neck protruding therefrom. An intermediate assembly has a coupling recess at each of its outermost ends which are adapted to snappingly engage with the coupling necks of the handle assembly and base assembly. Once coupled together, conventional threaded screws and nuts can be used to more permanently fasten the handle and base assemblies to the intermediate assembly. The interlocking coupling arrangements provide a high degree of resistance to twisting and bending forces and yet provide for quick and easy assembly of a new string trimmer by an end user with limited mechanical experience.
