Abstract:
Apparatus and system of components to mechanically exfoliate particulate materials using a multi-axis approach to deliver predetermined forces to a particulate material, including containers to hold particulate material and media, also including media, and, the associated parameters for operating such equipment along with methods and compositions provided by the apparatus and methods.
Abstract:
A drive gear has a gear hub with a ledge. A plurality of gear teeth are formed at an outer periphery of the ledge, and centered about a central axis. A mount structure extends axially away from the ledge. A first distance is defined between axial ends of the gear teeth. A second distance is defined between ends of the gear hub. A ratio of the first distance to the second distance is between 0.52 and 0.54. An oil pump, a rotating portion for an electrical generator, and a generator are also disclosed. An oil pump, a rotating portion for an electrical generator, and a generator are also disclosed.
Abstract:
An article comprises a metal alloy substrate and a plated wear interface layer disposed over a surface of the metal alloy substrate. The wear interface layer has a chemical composition including between about 0.005 wt % and about 0.050 wt % of antimony (Sb), and the balance silver (Ag) and incidental impurities.
Abstract:
A method of determining an optimized face cone element for spiral bevel and hypoid gears. The form of the root fillet of one member of a gear pair is determined and that from is transferred to the tip of the other member of the gear pair. With the inventive method, tooth root-tip clearance is optimized and the contact ratio is maximized while avoiding root-tip interference between mating gear members.
Abstract:
A worm wheel including first toothing regions transitioning into and on either side of a second toothing region and a complete annular surface on both ends of the worm wheel. The first toothing regions may have a constant outer diameter and the second toothing region may be depressed relative to the first toothing region. The first toothing regions may be globoid toothing regions and the second toothing region may be a cylindrical toothing region.
Abstract:
A bearing with antiskid design used in combination with a circular spline to form a harmonic drive, and the circular spline is provided with an inner toothed portion, the bearing includes: an elliptical gear plug, a flexible ball bearing, and a flexible spline. Between the flexible ball bearing and the flexible spline are disposed a first and second antiskid members, and the arrangement of the first and second antiskid members prevents the axial slippage between the flexible ball bearing and the flexible spline, thus improving stability and transmission accuracy of the harmonic drive.
Abstract:
In a manufacturing method of a rack shaft, the rack shaft is formed by mounting a shaft raw material on a receiving groove of a lower mold, the receiving mold having an approximately U-shaped cross section, thereafter arranging an upper mold having a rack-teeth-forming teeth portion formed in a rectangular shape in a bottom view and capable of oscillating in a width direction of the receiving groove around a center in the width direction of the rack-teeth-forming teeth portion, in such a manner that the center of oscillation lies on a vertical line of a center in a width direction of the rack teeth, pressing the shaft raw material in the diametrical direction, deforming the shaft raw material along the receiving groove, and thereafter deforming the shaft raw material while oscillating the upper mold so as to form a rack teeth.
