摘要： A pesticide delivery system includes a service box and a plurality of tubular delivery and dispensing lines for carrying a pesticide from the service box to locations in a building structure and dispensing the pesticide in those locations to control and exterminate pests. The service box includes a plate with holes through which elastic end portions of the tubular delivery and dispensing lines pass. Each of the holes has a conical frustum shaped portion and an annular edge portion that has the smallest diameter of the hole and is less in diameter than an outside diameter, in an unstressed or unstretched state, of the elastic end portion of the tubular delivery and dispensing line passing through the hole whereby the annular edge portion of the hole grips and locks the tubular delivery and dispensing line in place.

摘要： The present invention provides a pipe system for termite-proofing a sub-floor area of a structure having a foundation penetrated by at least one penetration comprising: (a) a primary tube system comprising tube(s) located substantially at or adjacent the perimeter of the building; (b) a secondary tube system comprising tube(s) adjacent at least one penetration; and (c) means for charging both primary and secondary tube system with insecticide. The tube systems comprise tubes perforated along a substantial portion of their length by a plurality of apertures of such size and spacing that insecticide flows through the apertures and infuses the adjacent ground. The penetrations may take the form of plumbing pipelines or load bearing members for a suspended slab or floor.

The frame and cover of the enclosure cooperate to provide a seal from water spray. Hydraulic lines within the enclosure are routed such that moisture is prevented from contacting the valve assembly. The tank is mounted within the frame at three-locations and elevated so that forces from vehicle operation are isolated from acting upon the tank. The assembly also includes a pivoting shelf supporting the valve assembly, the pivoting shelf providing wide-open access to the valve assembly from a range of directions.

摘要： A liquid insecticide applicator in the form of a trigger pump having a detachable, semirigid, tubular extended nozzle press fit into a recess within a nipple along the discharge end of the pump assembly is provided. When the extended nozzle is engaged to the pump assembly, the applicator is suitable for applying or injecting insecticides such as solutions of containing disodium octaborate tetrahydrate (D.O.T.) into holes or wall voids. When the extended nozzle is disengaged from the pump assembly, the applicator can deliver contents in a spray, suitable for treating larger surfaces, such as large areas of exposed wood. Preferably, the liquid insecticide solution used with the applicator is a 5% to 20% water solution of a DOT mixture comprising disodium octaborate tetrahydrate, colored pigment, and a bittering agent of either sucrose octa-acetate or denatonium benzoate. The applicator may alternatively be used to deliver liquid fertilizer to a plant by injecting the fertilizer below the soil surface, closer to the root structure of the plant.

摘要： An improved water heater is proved, particularly for marine use, wherein a heated liquid, such as engine coolant, flows to a heat exchanger in a water tank to heat the water therein. The improvement comprises a check valve assembly in the engine coolant line to control the flow of coolant to the heat exchanger, and thereby control the temperature of the water. As the water temperature increases, the check valve moves towards a closed position to reduce and ultimately stop the flow of heated engine coolant to the heat exchanger. As the water temperature decreases, the poppet valve moves toward and open position, so as to increase the flow of engine coolant to the heat exchanger, and thereby further heat the water. The water temperature is sensed by a wax actuator within the check valve which expands in response to increased water temperatures and contracts in response to decreased water temperatures.
