Abstract:
A retort rice meal producing system includes a pressurized steamer mechanism performing a steam heating process on raw rice under pressurizing, a steamed-rice single granulation mechanism removing surface-layer moisture from the steamed rice processed for single granulation as being conveyed by a conveyer, a quantitative filling mechanism of measuring the steamed rice subjected to single granulation for each pack and filling a container with the steamed rice, a packing mechanism further filling the steamed-rice-filled container filled with the steamed rice with at least an amount of a liquid such as a rice-cooking liquid required for soaking and moisture absorption and air for allocating a head space, and sealing the container, a soaking/moisture-absorbing mechanism reversing a package of the sealed container a plurality of times and causing the rice-cooking liquid to be absorbed into the steamed rice, and a retort sterilizing apparatus.
Abstract:
A method for forming a grain composition includes mixing a first grain powder composition with water using a mixing apparatus to form a mixture. Mechanical energy applied to the mixture is calculated from the measured torque. The protein quality is expressed as the measured torque as a function of mechanical energy and is compared to a standard. If the protein quality of the first grain powder composition does not meet the standard, a second grain power composition is formed having a different weight percent of the first source of grain powder than the first grain powder composition.
Abstract:
This invention provides a novel method for producing maize flour including at least one treatment step in which a product comprising maize is treated under alkaline conditions, wherein an alkaline solution is sprayed onto the product. Furthermore, a facility for producing maize flour is disclosed, in particular in said method. Moreover, maize flour obtained by this method and foodstuffs containing this flour are disclosed.
Abstract:
A wheat variety designated XW12M, the plants and seeds of wheat variety XW12M, methods for producing a wheat plant produced by crossing the variety XW12M with another wheat plant, and hybrid wheat seeds and plants produced by crossing the variety XW12M with another wheat line or plant, and the creation of variants by mutagenesis or transformation of variety XW12M. This invention also relates to methods for producing other wheat varieties or breeding lines derived from wheat variety XW12M and to wheat varieties or breeding lines produced by those methods.
Abstract:
Inbred corn line, designated IL3, is disclosed. The invention relates to the seeds of inbred corn line IL3, to the plants and plant parts of inbred corn line IL3, and to methods for producing a corn plant, either inbred or hybrid, by crossing inbred corn line IL3 with itself or another corn line. The invention also relates to products produced from the seeds, plants, or parts thereof, of inbred corn line IL3 and/or of the hybrids produced using the inbred as a parent. The invention further relates to methods for producing a corn plant containing in its genetic material one or more transgenes and to the transgenic plants produced by that method and to methods for producing other inbred corn lines derived from inbred corn line IL3.
Abstract:
A white whole grain wheat flour is milled from whole grain wheat kernels of white wheat. The white whole grain wheat flour has the appearance, texture, and consistency of refined wheat flour and the nutritional value of whole wheat flour. The white whole grain wheat flour can have a particle size distribution such that about 2% or more of the white whole grain wheat flour is larger than about 212 μm.
Abstract:
The present invention refers to a non-antibiotic therapeutic strategy for inhibiting oro-gastro-intestinal infections and pathogens in general and particularly Heliobacter pylori adherence and colonization in the gastrointestinal channel and preventing or relieving associated oro-gastro-intestinal disease. The invention relates to methods and products based on an active cereal product or ferric quinate. The invention is also applicable to other oro-gastro-intestinal pathogens in both humans and animals.
Abstract:
A wheat variety designated 25R25, the plants and seeds of wheat variety 25R25, methods for producing a wheat plant produced by crossing the variety 25R25 with another wheat plant, and hybrid wheat seeds and plants produced by crossing the variety 25R25 with another wheat line or plant, and the creation of variants by mutagenesis or transformation of variety 25R25. This invention also relates to methods for producing other wheat varieties or breeding lines derived from wheat variety 25R25 and to wheat varieties or breeding lines produced by those methods.
Abstract:
A wheat variety designated 25R50, the plants and seeds of wheat variety 25R50, methods for producing a wheat plant produced by crossing the variety 25R50 with another wheat plant, and hybrid wheat seeds and plants produced by crossing the variety 25R50 with another wheat line or plant, and the creation of variants by mutagenesis or transformation of variety 25R50. This invention also relates to methods for producing other wheat varieties or breeding lines derived from wheat variety 25R50 and to wheat varieties or breeding lines produced by those methods.
